Re: What Turkey Call For A Beginner?

Listen to me very carefully!! Buy a Primos Spring Hen push button call... I can run any turkey call made, but I will not go into the turkey woods with out mine. It’s just plain deadly!! It black plastic and looks cheap... but a lot of times it works when every other call gets no response. Good luck!

Re: fixed or mechanical

That’s the thing... I shot compounds for years at around 265 FPS with 425 grain arrows. Mechanical broadheads always worked perfect. No reason the Vixen II and up should have any issues with mechanicals.

Character bows

How many of you guys have a well worn older bow with a lot of dings, scratches, and worn paint that still shoots great and still goes hunting each year? I have an Equinox that is not as pretty as it once was but shoots awesome!

Re: What's the next hunt for 2020?

Turkeys beginning March 20th. Big nasty swamp hogs up to August 15th, then it's deer season all over again!

I have the Equinox ready for all three!!

Re: New Excal Broadheads for 2020

Those do look good! The price is a little crazy though... :wtf:

I'm a pretty big fan of Innerlocks… the Boltcutters and EXPs fly great and kill even better!!

Re: scent free vs. cover scent

So here's the bad news... deer, just like humans can smell two things at once. So if your dog used the bathroom in the house and your wife was making supper, you would smell both when you walked in the door... :wtf: The deer can smell you and the fox pee at the same time. You really just have to pla...

Equinox string

What string maker are you guys using for you Equinox... I bought a new flemish string for my bow and after about 50 shots it's starting to have a little serving separation.

Re: My swhacker experience

Cool! look forward to hearing the results.

I'm shooting the 100 grain crossbow model that has a 1.75" cut out of my Equinox... It should be in the ground about an inch after pass through... but we'll see.

Equinox set up

Got my new to me Equinox yesterday... Crazy thing was the trigger was apparently bent just a touch, causing the bow not to latch the string. I called Danny Miller, who we all know is awesome by the way, to figure out what the heck was going on. After a few taps from a block of wood and a hammer, eve...
