Re: Evercalm
Hang my hunting cloths, boots, pack, and any gear I intend to bring afield in the barn with the cows, and use fox urine on my boots as I depart for my stand. Been doing this since my dad and grandfather started me out. I miss those cows when I hunt in other locations!!!! But there are creative scent...

Re: how well has your mega 405 held up? New owner from Ga
I have one of the very early/first versions of the 405, it went through the trigger recall, it came back with a better trigger! It still has the original limbs! :D Always took great pains to maintain proper brace height etc. I shoot a 410gr 20" arrow. Over 1000 shots have been taken, many in pr...

Re: 405, 380, micro
I have a 380 which was a replacement for an early 405 I owned. No issues with the 380 so far, but I haven't shot it as much as my Exo-series bows. I wasn't as lucky with the 405, small splinter on right limb, screws coming loose, not to mention it was my 405 which brought to light the trigger issue...

Re: Excalibur Micro 315
The Matrix 310 offers me a 200lb draw weight @ 310fps. the 315 offers me 5fps more BUT with a 260lb draw weight!?! What am I missing? Is it THAT MUCH SMALLER? overall specs aren't all that different.....

Re: M405
Rusty what was your great advice on the brace height? Also curious what the future holds. I've been shooting 20" 410 gr arrows from the get go out of my 405. This is my first crossbow. And thanks to all the good folks on this board received a lot of good schooling along the way...brace height ...

Re: Finally answers for the Matrix 350 LE Mossy
This is all getting so complicated. My one, my first, and my only crossbow to date is the 405. It was one of the very early models involved in the trigger recall, which went flawlessly, and in fact I feel the replacement trigger is superior then the original. The LIMBS are the original factory limb...

Re: Excalibur Customer Service
I have a 405 and was involved with the trigger recall.....and THEY CONTACTED ME. Turn around was swift, S&H was compensated, and I feel the new trigger is a better trigger. I'm happy. Oh BTW....still on the original set of limbs! At this point I couldn't tell how many shots I've taken with it......

Re: DrStirrup Matrix or older Excalibur Kit
Thank you gentleman for the feedback, much appreciated! The larger handles alone appeal to me....perhaps off to Home Depot for a couple solid pieces of PVC to replace the handles on the factory unit. Thanks again!

What a great idea. Good things you're doing all over the forum. I hope someone who got the cocking aid when it's ready chimes in wih a review. I could sure use some help in thay department. I got Dr. Stirrup's cocking rope and absolutely love it! It's become my primary cocking rope with all others ...

Re: Why So Many Crossbows?
Rusty Gate.... I can tell you that the 310 is a sweet little crossbow. For someone with my limitations it is very easy to cock for an afternoon of shooting and will take down any deer or bear that I would be hunting. I also looked over a Grizzly yesterday while I was at Dunhams and it looks like a ...

Re: Why So Many Crossbows?
Currently I only own a 405. However a second one is in the cards for two reasons. For one a backup is nice to have, and number two is that apparently the 405 is such a wanton killer that some states have imposed a 200lb draw weight limit....and of course I hunt in one of those states, NY. A 310 is l...
