Re: Thermal Cameras For Tracking ?????
For some of the units out there - yes you would probably need to be rich to own one. I have $1700 tied up in mine, not much more than what I have tied up in each one of my (2) crossbows with scopes, arrows, fletching jig, vanes..... You get the idea> Not to mention the 2 smokeless muzzleloaders, cus...

Re: Thermal Cameras For Tracking ?????
^ What he said. No need to look for drops of blood when you are able to see the entire body of the animal stand out like a black bear in a snow covered landscape. Go to YouTube and look at some of the videos. You will see what I mean.

Re: Thermal Cameras For Tracking ?????
Don't want to mislead you-I don't use it to see blood on the ground. Flashlight works well for that. But when the blood trail runs out-or forget the blood trail altogether-the pulsar will reveal a warm body much farther than 60 yds- watched a bear cut through the edge of the field at about 150 yards...

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1092125-REG/pulsar_pl77325_quantum_hd19a_thermal_monocular.html Didn't buy it for finding deer after they have been shot but I don't go in the woods without it. Do use it for that purpose though. It is expensive but it opens up a whole new world for me. Nothing ...

Re: Bitzenberger Jig and the Installation of the XB Receiver
Anthony I have the zenith upgrade on my Bitz which allows me to use the pin nocks for the Gold Tip series 22 carbon shafts(.300 id.). The zenith takes all the slop out of the Bitz and makes a good product even better. If you just want to use a Series 22 nock and bushing you can use the Bitz as is. h...

Re: ground blind
I am making one like this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjUJyXE3jhY ....I own a Ghost Blind....they work great...the problem is that they are cumbersome to carry around into the woods...very easy to set up and yes they do work as advertised...again just too cumbersome...I guess if you are 6'...

Re: MICRO TRIGGER CREEP
Slack (as you define it) and noticeable creep (any movement of the trigger prior to firing) will make a flincher out of the best of shooters. The less the trigger moves before breaking the better - for me.

Re: reflex sight
If you like a reflex sight in the last minutes of shooting hours, over a scope. More power to ya. I've used both and there is no comparison. Give me a Leupold VXR 2-7 No doubt that good optics/magnification help at longer ranges- I use quality optics on my firearms and they have made shots possible...

Re: reflex sight
Aimpoint is what I would try. I tried a Burris Fast Fire II and hated it. Can't see at dawn and dusk Can't see what? The dot or target? The target Thought that was self explanatory Just curious as that is the beauty of a 1X reflex. Both eyes open if you can't see the target nothing is going to help...

This is what I use on the front rack of my Rancher. Works real well with enough adjustment to configure for bow, gun or crossbow.

Re: O/T Savage 10ML PRICING OUTRAGEOUS
Forgive me Steve if you thought I was questioning your ethics. That was not what I meant. The biggest "thrill" for me hunting is having to be careful how I breathe so as not to let the deer hear me. I bought the MLers to challenge my marksmanship skills. Been thinking about selling one of ...
