Re: A Fun Day of Shooting-AJR1234 is Getting Married
Thanks again everyone for the well wishes. Had a great day with Dad and the rest of the boys in the family. Of course there was plenty of trash talking.......(the most by my uncle, whom shot the worst) but it was all in good fun. Days like today make you stop and think how lucky you are to have such...

(just in time for opening of Excalibur season) Figures Mother nature has a sense of humor today. Sitting in my wo...

Re: NJ Strikes Again-This Time with M/L
Several different lessons were learned with this deer. 1. Always trust your gut. 2. If you think you hit it, you look for it. 3. Don't let anyone make you think you missed if you trust your shot. Shot this deer at 425 in the afternoon as light was fading fast. Had 3 other deer spook at 50 yards and ...

Another deer taken in NJ
I seem to have all my luck on Sundays This morning got to my spot around 6AM. (or should I say my dad's spot. He was sleeping in the car). There is another father and son whom we started hunting with this season. Rick (the father) texted me around 615 to tell me he had bumped a deer and it was headi...

Re: Another buck down in NJ
Here goes the rest of the story. It was one of those days Woke up this morning with a killer headache on only 2 hours of sleep. Dad was supposed to come but didn't and the same for my uncle. Decided to go regardless. In NJ bow hunting is only allowed on certain state land. Luckily one of the places ...

Re: ungluing nocks
Thanks guys appreciate the input. Thankfully not a single nock stayed glued. Was able to take a pair of pliers and gently pull all nocks out. Now just gotta order my lumenoks. Did not pull nocks from arrows in my quiver yet seeing as I may go out this weekend should the warden permit. (honeydo list ...

ungluing nocks
Unfortunately I glued my nocks in when I made the arrows. Was just wondering if there is any way to get the glue to let loose. Wanted to put in some lumenoks. Glued nocks in with lock tight super glue. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: BBD...and now for the rest of the story!!!
We truly are happy. Whomever shoots the deer it's like we shot it ourselves. We all put in a lot of hard work to start seeing deer like that bruiser. I really am happy for him because he is the lunatic of the 3 of us. That kid eats and sleeps deer hunting this time of year. We have broken his chops ...

If I recall correctly you were the one that I believe said it was nice to be a leg up on the young guys. Chris has more than just a leg up at this point.

Re: BBD...and now for the rest of the story!!!
You are not kidding dad. He is already starting but I am really happy for him. We have been hunting that area for several years now with doe and small bucks being taken from there. It's nice to see the hard work pay off regardless of which of us shot that buck. (I still wish it woulda been me though...

Re: Checked my trail cam today
GK I know this is a bit crazy but I had said to my dad Amythntr (Anthony). If I saw bucks like that I wasn't hunting the first 3 weeks and wait for earn a buck to be over. I noticed last year after we took our doe it seemed like they all disappeared. Those are some fine looking bucks especially for ...
