Re: Luminoks - are mine broken?
Mine were already installed so it is not a size issue but Iguess a mattter of getting the pliers to turn them off. But as the instructions say to wiggle them between your fingers, they are no where near that easy to turn off. Thank you all for the replies.

Luminoks - are mine broken?
After seeing the tread comparing the lighted nocs I think mine might be defective? I have the luminoks on the diablo arrow that came installed. I like them but I do have problems turning them off. You need pliers to pull them to turn them off and now the ends are all scraped because of the pliers on...

Any excaliburs for sale?
Looking for an Excalibur....hopefully in the London, St.Thomas, Aylmer, Tillsonburg, Woodstock area. It really doesn't matter what model, it will be used by a adult male. As long as it is suitable for deer hunting. In a decent price otherwise I will go for less expensive new one. I am getting at lit...

Re: Matrix 330
I also bought the matrix 330 and put the 150gr Boltcuttters on. Nothing fancy but it did the job for my doe this year. Clean pass through and still buried half of the arrow in the ground on the other side. I did invest in the same diablo arrows with the luminoks...well worth the investment in my opi...

Re: Ideas for a unique doe taxidermy ?
A head mount is out because of out field dressing. I am going to get the hide made into leather. I spoke to a taxidermist yesterday and he is going to look at the hide but thinks it has been too warm to keep fur on. He said there will be too much slippage? I think I will have the feet done for hooks...

You can make "coat hangers" from the feet. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f363/ComfyBear/IMG_0736_zpsa8fe591c.jpg Or hang whatever you choose: http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f363/ComfyBear/IMG_2764_zps33649733.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f363/ComfyBear/DSCN0024.jpg Oh grea...

Good Idea!paulaboutform wrote:How about tanning the hide with the tail and without the legs...much like a beaver pelt. You can mount it on the wall or use it as a throw. On the floor, over the back of a chair or sofa.

Ideas for a unique doe taxidermy ?
Thank you all for the congrats posts on my first deer. I would like to do something to have from my first deer but not sure what... A head mount is out of the options, what about the tail? skull will be kind of boring without any antlers? I kind of find the front feet creepy but maybe if there was a...

Re: First Deer EVER! Matrix 330
Congrats Yolo, you did real good. For a yearly, that's an awfully big deer. If it was any bigger it would be as big as your Matrix. Got to get me one for those cameras. Oh don't you know that is the new Matrix 850.... it is massive ;) Yes I was blessed with a great deer and a profess...

Was out this weekend on a Ladies Mentored Crossbow Deer Hunt in which 'vixchic' was mentoring......she is amazing. and although she was not my mentor she did a great job of teaching me the ropes with my first deer EVER. I will never forget this great experience. I took a yearling doe at 15 yards wit...
