Munch mount with XB30 scope
I have a Matrix 380. Have a XB30 pro scope on the way with medium rings. I also picked up a Munch Mount which I just installed. Don't have my new scope and rings yet but I'm a tad afraid that the mount will be in the way of getting a clear view through the scope. Certainly is the case with the stock...

Re: Whats the best hunting scope?
I've looked through Boo's VXR and it is a sweet setup. I opted for a XB30 although the sky is really the limit with optics. I've got optics on my rifles that are north of $2K!! The XB30 should be an upgrade from the Tact Zone stock but one day I might find mine wearing a VXR with an Optimizer. It re...

The boo man
My buddy and I, being local here in the Toronto area, paid a visit to Don, Mr. "Boo" yesterday to pick up a couple of strings. Don is a true gentleman and a WEALTH of information which he shares generously. We were treated to watching him work while he was preparing my buddy's string. Man,...

Re: How often you guys practice
Really sad truth is many hunters barely practice at all, with bows or firearms, before their hunt. I'm mostly into firearms but bought a crossbow to extend the hunting season as in my back 40 I can hunt deer from Oct on with a bow and only two weeks of the year with a shotgun. Had my buddies up last...

Re: Hawke XB30 Pro vs Excalibur Twilight DLX
Bow fell form storage on the scope. Scope bent from fall.
Still functional but I didn't want to take a risk in case something internal dies during the season.

Hawke XB30 Pro vs Excalibur Twilight DLX
I've been thinking of getting the Hawke XB30 Pro due to a mishap with my Tact-Zone on my Matrix 380. To my surprise when I contacted Excalibur they offered me a replacement Twilight DLX (per my request) at an excellent discount - $175 CDN. That's over a hundred bucks under MSRP here! The HB30 Pro wo...

Need to change string?
I have a Matrix 380 that I bought last fall and never took the string out when I stored it. It has only been shot about 10-15 times. Getting ready for the season this year and noticed that the string has stretched somewhat as it is biting against he suppressors a reasonable amount. I was going to re...

Re: Hawke XB30 pro vs XB30 on Matrix 380
I see what you guys mean about the bottom of the circle 30. Yes I think it is a bit silly of a design. I suspect my shots will be 20 yards or less or 40-50 yards. My stand is located about 20 yards from a fence line and looking out to the fence line with the clearing below the stand. I can hunt on e...

Hawke XB30 pro vs XB30 on Matrix 380
Hello fellow Excalibur owners. I have a choice of these three aftermarket scopes for my Matrix 380 bow. Can anyone who has tried one or both (preferably) comment on which they prefer and why. I am only hunting in a tree stand or ground blind. Currently don't plan to take it on a long trek - just my ...
