Re: Idiots with a crossbow

I read this post last eve, but I seen the way it was heading and chose not to comment until It settled down a bit. I agree that the people on this site are some of the most kind and helpfull people on any forum I've been on. I knew then and know now that the comments that were made were directed tow...

Re: Can't get in the mood to hunt this year

I'm kinda in the same boat as you are, at least with the "loss of interest". Over the coarse of the last few years I have lost approx 700 acres of private ground that I had hunted my whole life. Either from the land being sold or being handed down to family members who don't allow hunting....

Re: shooting with the axiom today! question about bolt weigh

I have been shooting archery for about 20 years and I can remember always haveing troubles with fixed heads not shooting as tight as what I would like them to, after learning the ins and outs of arrow building and tuneing, most of the time I can get very acceptable accuracy out of my setups. Then I ...

Re: shooting with the axiom today! question about bolt weigh

Thanks for your replies fellas, yes, I was practicing with my broadheads, these slick tricks fly better than ANY fixed blade I have ever shot. I don't think I'm gonna bother "splitting" the difference as I don't believe ME, shooting off hand out of a stand, will ever notice 1" devienc...

shooting with the axiom today! question about bolt weight.

Ok, as I posted before I finally got my "self induced" accuracy problems figured out with my axiom. Our season started here in Pa on the 3rd, I hadent quite regained my confidence with the axiom yet so I've been lugging the Mathews around all week. Deer movement has been slow all week for ...

Re: re-attaching one loose vane.

I fletch my own arrows at home as many on here do, I think it would be hard to get the vane back on the exact way it was before damage. Especially if it had any offset or helical. Nothing says you can't try, but I would Deffinately shoot it afterwards to ensure it hits with your others. Also I find ...

Re: To All My Jersey And East Coast Bow Brethern

I live in south central PA right on the Pa/Md border. I've been watching the weather and still ain't sure how it's gonna be outside tomorrow. Either way I took the time to put my blind up a couple days ago bordering a small woodlot and a field of standing corn. It's kinda hard to get into in the mor...

Re: 405 vs thumb - warning graphic pics.

Wow!! I've "stung" my thumb once on my old ten point, as did my daughter, seeing your injury I sure am glad we both walked away with nothing more than a valuable lesson learned. Thanks for sharing, sometimes it takes a "visual aid" for it to sink in, I bet anyone who reads your p...

Re: Darn praticing day before season starts and scope breaks

I think if I were you, and season is starting tomorrow, I would find whatever rifle scope I have on hand and stick it on the axiom just to get me through till you get you other one taken care of.

bad form while shooting?

Ok fellas, I've posted about haveing some scope issues and even had Danny replace one for me, but I think I figured out my issues. This mite make sense to some of you, and some mite think I'm crazy but here what I believe was my issues. First and foremost I'm a rifle shooter, I have been for 20 year...

Re: whats the best glue

I have also had trouble with the Fletch tight platinum, I was wondering what's goin on. When I glue blazers directly to the shaft they pull right off, but when I use wraps on my arrows you can't pull the blazers off with pliers. It led me to believe I wasn't prepping shafts right, but I've always do...

I believe there is a post below this one related to these heads and a pic of the devistation they do. And I believe this was out of a slower/less kinetic energy set up.

The pics speak for themselves.

Re: My broadhead tipped bolts are all over the place

I've not heard of razor caps, I have used the nap razorback broadheads. They are the ones that the blades are a "cartridge" and all three slide down onto the ferrule at tha same time and they spin on the ferule one everything is assembled. If this type is what you have I tried them on my o...

Re: wow, things have changed.

Some friends and I were talking about these things the other day. I can remember leaving the house to hunt with nothing more than a knife, flashlight, and my bow. Then I moved up to useing a fanny pack ( back when they were cool) then to a small pack, and now I carry a back pack. I carry more stuff ...
