Re: Arrow fish tailing

At the speeds of the average crossbow, if the arrow is correcting quick enough, fishtailing should not be noticable. If it is noticable, there is a spine issue. I don't care where it hits. I understand it happens, but having the correct spine will correct flight before we can see it.

Try the Simmons tiger shark. 175 grains, 1 5/8" wide. This head flies incredibly well.

Re: 2 blade broadheads

About all I use is Simmons. Tree shark mainly. It's huge, but flies great. It's 2 1/16"wide. I have used this head with an axiom, vortex, and matrix 355. Shooting a spine indexed zombie with aluminum nock, gold tip series 22 aluminum insert and 4" feathers, it will consistently shoot 2"...

Re: Arrow setup?

2219 weighs 13.8 grains per inch. That is 235 grains for the shaft only.70 grains is close for nock, insert, and vanes. Now you're at 305 without the broadhead

Re: No Mercy

Just some info on traditional heads. I shoot a matrix355 with 16" zombies, aluminum nocks and 4" right wing helical feathers. On this I use 2117 glue in, glue on broadhead adapters from fs discount archery. These adapters fit the arrows good and have a 22/64 ferrule. My broadheads are 160 ...

I would like to try one, but hate the broadhead guard. Does it come off or all one piece?

Re: simmons sharks

I use them all the time. Absolutely awesome. I currently use the tree shark on 2219's out of my matrix 355. In the past with my vortex I used tiger sharks on 2216's. Y friend i hunt with uses the tiger sharks on black eagle executioners with aluminum inserts out of his axiom. I have used all of them...
