Re: Leupold vx vs vxr
One last question would going to the 50 mm be an "upgrade" Or is it not needed and is a lesser quality glass that the 40 and 30 mm Light gathering is mainly a product of glass quality. High quality glass in 30 or 40 mm will gather more light than 50 mm lower quality glass. I always recomm...

Re: Leupold vx vs vxr
Unfortunately I found the vx1 3-9 40mm for $395 and the cheapest I can get the vxr in any size is $710.
Im sure the vx1 will be better than the smf scope I have.
Thanks for all the help

Re: Need ballistics help
Here's a thought, how about using your center crosshair and Optimizer to get you out to 60yards. Then using the hash marks in the scope and your variable power (speed dial) use them for 70yards, 80yards, etc.. It just might work for you and be easier and cheaper than a stacked HHA.[/quote] Yes I wou...

Re: Need ballistics help
Just wait for it to arrive. Forget a second HHA mounted on top, your head would be floating in mid air with no cheek weld and poor accuracy. Take the $$$ you'd spend on the extra HHA and put it towards an M380, you'll have no problem hitting 100yards. I am limited to just my axiom, I am willing to ...

Need ballistics help
Although I haven't got my HHA optimizer yet and my crossbow just a week ago I am debating whether a second Dial would be useful. I have worked out that with my specs the HHA allows me to shoot to 65 yards or so. I found this http://peteward.com/ballistic.calc.htm and put in my arrow combinations and...

Leupold vx vs vxr
I am looking to upgrade my scope on my axiom, I want a duplex reticule because I will use a HHA dial. My Question is, is the illuminated dot worth it? and is the dot large because it will be used for long distance shooting. And Im looking at the vx1 3-9 40mm and the vxr1 3-9 40mm Any opinions and an...
