Re: Binoculars

Look up Zen-Ray binos.....

I have the ED3 10x42 and they are as clear and bright as any $1,000 + bino, at half the price.

Or....search the bird watcher forums, those guys know their binos.

Re: Best bh for turkeys

You can't go wrong with the spitfire...spitfire maxx may be even better.
or the wasp jackhammers.

I'll have jackhammer 125's on the end of my bolts this season.

My daughter and I will be out for youth day tomorrow, the micro is ready!

Re: WHAT CH'ALL BE USIN FER UR TURKEY CALLS?

Guys....do yourself a favor and check out John Sinclair calls....he sells them on ebay. He makes the finest calls I've heard. I have just about everything he makes, and all of them are pure turkey! Much more realistic than any mass produced call. He's a great guy, and a true craftsman, he can answer...

Re: Broad heads for turkey

I've shot 5 birds in the past 2 years, all body shots, 4 with a spitfire max, 1 with a slick trick. all were dead a few yds from where they were shot...furthest one flopped about 20 yds. Not saying that I'm better than anyone, but for me, I just perfer to wait for the right shot. I perfer broadside ...

Re: what size rings do I need for my micro??

That's exactly what I'm looking for....

and the width of the rail?
I guess I could measure, but don't have the bow with me at the moment.

Thanks

what size rings do I need for my micro??

The stock rings aren't tall enough for the nikon, so I ordered new rings....they came, but apparently there is a size issue.... (very new to this scope thing)
Need a little insight here.
thanks!

Re: Turkey Hunting with the Nightmare 335

On my vertical bows...yes. actually have a dedicated turkey bow. But I will be taking the micro out a time or two for birds. Only thing I may do.different is the broadhead. For deer, I use a slick trick 125 On the front of a zombie with brass insert. I think I'm gonna use the quills with a 100 gr sp...

Re: turkey decoys

After you spend a couple hundred on decoys, then add the $1000 plus for bow, arrows and etc.....

Just think of all the money you'll save not needing to buy turkey at the grocery store!

Re: I want to handle a Micro.

A friend came over and saw mine..didn't even shoot it.....he has an older excal. (not sure what model)

I got a text a couple weeks later with him saying..."this micro isn't even fair! Just smoked a doe at 40"

Turns out he ordered one as soon as he got home!

Re: turkey decoys

They are not cheap.....but in my opinion, when you're dealing with an animal that can see like a turkey does, the paint and the detail is what makes a bird commit when he knows he shouldnt. I'm not a wealthy man, but the dsd is the best money I've spent when it comes to hunting. as I've said, I've h...

Re: turkey decoys

Do yourself a favor and look into DSD decoys. I got the Jake last year and had the best season ever.....i set up the DSD Jake with an Avion x hen, and had many, many birds come right up to it.... Usually when they see it, they come and have a better look... I have had several different decoys over t...

Re: Micro 335

Almost the same as above....afterall, I got my arrows from him! 15.5" zombies, 92 gr brass insert, blazers, and a slick trick mag 125. total arrow weight is around 380ish.... This thing is chewing the center out of my target out to 45. And I've shot 4 deer with it so far and its just hammering ...

Re: 40 yards, free hand!

Truly great advise.... It has me thiking about shooting a vertical bow....i have been shooting a bow for 25 years....and have been bow hunting for that long as well. In all those years, and well over a hundred deer shot, I've never shot a deer with a gun, actually have about zero gun experience...fe...
