Re: FOC Broadhead
Data on " How far a deer travels after the shot" is very interesting. On the Muzzys I will agree. I had used them (100gr 3 blade ) for years in compounds. Could count non-pass thrus on one hand, but recoveries were normally 70-90 yards on good shots. Of 4 non pass thrus 1 was very light ar...

That's way more twist than came on the Lasers. Gonna strip and refletch with Blazers, and increase the twist.

Re: Short arrows
Good eye Boo, I missed that. Same shape, not textured, not as stiff as a Blazer. Gonna strip everything and go Blazer. Best way to compare apples w/ apples. Love the input, many brains better than one.

Good call, won't get to shoot again until Tuesday. Matched all field points, will try rotating vanes if problem persists.

Re: String creep
Thanks, that makes sense. Been lubing rail every 3-5 shots and waxing every 5. Will be probably go the custom string route in the future ,but, was told factory string would be more forgiving of "rookie" mistakes. Might put the wax a little thinner next time .

Re: Short arrows
Terrible weather here ( N.C.) no shooting today. Going to a lighter shaft, heavier insert when weather breaks. Similar weight, but slightly more f.o.c. .

Re: Short arrows
340fps sounds more reasonable, also sounds more like what I've read from other members. Will "suffer through" and do some more "testing" Will be interesting to see if the broadhead keeps the accuracy.

Re: Short arrows
Sighted the scope @ 20yrds with 15" arrows. Moved my block to 30yrds and good, maybe a click high, so dropped a click. Dead on. Moved the block to 50yrds. and began to dial in range with adjustment ring. At 350 50yrd groups were dead on. Moved back to 20, still on @ 20yrds. Now I don't think a ...

Re: Short arrows
Overall, hoping end result will show shorter arrow will allow broadhead to steer less and be more accurate at longer ranges. They also fit the quiver better. Sorta like working up a load for a rifle.
