Have you tried shortening you cocking rope by 2"?
You'll have to pull up the string to get the hooks on, but it will really help at the top end. Let you legs do the lifting.
Thanks I’ll try that.
Doing this makes a lot of difference. Good luck.

Re: Feeling Guilty

Great shooting. Have you tested if spine/indexed bolts make a difference at 50 yards or less? I was testing for the manufacturer out of the BD400 and SWAT. I tested like I expect the normal buyer would use them. However, I’ll now test by rotating vanes and various weight FPS and BHs. Actu...

Re: Feeling Guilty

The actual definition is, “missing the mark”, I believe. I try not to “sin” but ; fortunately ‘ live under grace. Seems like I don’t when a couple of Scorpyd owners and minions go after me. At least I’m safe on the Excal forum.

Great shooting. Have you tested if spine/indexed bolts make a difference at 50 yards or less? Only Diablos. Those arrows I tested were not indexed or matched, they weighed 13.8g/“. The total arrow weight minus point weight is 427-429g. These things with 125g points were a little over 550gs.

Feeling Guilty

I’ve been feeling guilty about neglecting my BD400. My Aculeus 460 and two SWATs have been the primary focus of long range arrow testing and hunting this fall/winter. Primarily, I’ve been testing long range accuracy with moderately fast velocities and various broadheads. Also, been testing identical...

Re: The Horizontal Zone

100 yard hunting is complicated by trajectory factors but not by energy remaining. 1 - 1 1/2 yard range error will cause a miss of the vital area . That combined with a best case of 1” -2” 100 yard group off the bench in no wind but likely, depending, a larger grouping in field conditions which will...
