Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?

Great, thanks for getting back to me. I'm planning on black eagle executioners with a 92 grain insert and 200 grain grizzlystik Samurai broadheads. I just tested spinal tapps with the 110 and 200 grain field points and they were right at 290. Slow motion video showed some wobble, but I put the offen...

Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?

500 grains for my micro 335. Curious what your set up is. I've gotten tired of broadheads being destroyed on ribs and failure to get pass throughs when hitting bone. Any idea what your speed is? I don't have a chronograph and want to make sure the speed will still work with the speed ring on my sco...

Re: Bolt advice

Thanks for the advice. Think I might go the Zombie route and keep shooting my 125 slick tricks for now. Will most likely jump to 150s when I change heads in the future.

Re: Bolt advice

I was concerned thatI might have too much weight up front for the spine with a 150 grain tip. My current arrows are Gold tip Swift Pros. I have 110 grain brass inserts, that woud make it 260 on the tip.

Bolt advice

I'm thinking about upping my broadhead weight to160 grains and am looking for some onput. I currently am shooting Golt Tip Swift pro arrows out of my micro 335 with 125 grain broadheads bohning 2" fletching and luminoks. Weight is about 408 grains. Accuracy is gooď. Id like to increase my downr...

Re: Micro 335 Limb Failure

My gen 1 335 developed cracks near the top of the left limb during the first week of bow season. I was able to get the limbs replaced on about a week but was a little disappointed in the color match as was talked about earlier in this thread. The bow seems to have picked up some speed over the origi...

Re: CAMERAS ON CROSSBOWS

I'm using a Tactacam 4.0 with a Hawke picatinny mount. Works great I was able to verify my shot placement on a nice 8 pt last season and filmed 3 other bucks during the course of the season.k

Re: Advice on preventing a future miss

Just a thought but, when you stop a deer, they are on alert and looking to identify the sound. They are on full alert and can easily jump even the fastest setup when on alert. In that situation, 33-37 yards I'd aim lower third with the 30 yard pin. That being said, I rarely stop deer and haven't tak...

Re: Micro and 125 grain broadheads

I'm shooting 125 grain viper tricks with 110 grain brass inserts. 20" gold tip swift pros. 2" inch blazers and luminoks. Total weight is 433 grains. This set up works terrific in my micro 335. 1.2 inch groups @ 50 yards.

Re: Micro suppressor vs micro 355 vs 335

Too many choices nowadays ( and marketing hype for that matter). As others have pointed out, hunting skills are what's needed most. Killed plenty of deer with an old PSE strato flight express that was all of about 180 fps with a 140 grain broadhead. If bow length was my no.1 priority, then I'd buy t...

Re: Big woods vs agricultural deer

Concentrate on 'edges'. i.e.hardwood/swamp/ridge/stream/thick/open. Deer are edge creatures. generally, the more edges you combine in an area, the better a spot will be. I look for areas with at least 3 edges 4 are better. My most successful tactic has been to find areas like this and then use twine...
