In my recurve longbow days i used simmons intercepters 190 grain for like 30 years i shot at least 2 deer per year only lost 1 deer .my fault poor hit. Gotta love the time tested alluminum arrow . These guys say they went to carbon because metal bends i think the industrys got em brain washed. I know you can shoot a carbon into a wall yada yada. For the 380 there a little light in spine 2216 is next common spine 2219 is actually the one that is "recomended" most and very commonly available. Nowadays

Great idea . Wen you run out just go with regular 2219s ive been putting a 53grain xtra weight up front with a125 grain head @440 grain total been workin great out to 60 yard with the micro .you wont need to do the extra cutting

A bag target will work with the practice blades tears it up a little more . Some times gets stuck in material. A block is a better choice.my field points really fly just like spitfires inside 40 yards i hardly use the practice heads any more. Hopefully you will discover this also spitfires the bomb....

The shot was sideways extreme down got both lungs but no exit very little blood. Fletching was barely hanging out on the hit side the (working lighted nock) woulda definately aided in a faster recovery sorry made it sound like arrow passed thru and was in dirt

Anybody got any input on 2219 lighted nocks.tried nocturnals w the longbow they failed at the most important time. Shot my biggest buck perfect hit woulda found the deer in 20 min. Spitfire makes practice (blades) there inexpensive and truely fly the same as a real one i use them all the time. You just put them in instead of real blades. Because of the angle of spitfire offset blade there not foam target friendly the real blades will be toast. For the price you pay for the spi...

Ps if you chose the bolt get the rings deer stalker shows .weaver med. 12 screw tactical rings overkill maby.... but there worth it i have them on both bows
