When l was "young " in 1981 l got a part time job at a local beer store after securing my first paycheck at 3 bucks n hour 😆 l purchased a brown classic fenwick 4 foot 8 trout rod. A whooping 80 bucks at the time...very pricy anyway I still use the rod today and it's still in excellent sha...

Re: Just ordered one of the 40th Bottomland hats
Do they have one that says bottom feeder for me?
My new England 12guage bought in 1994 has bottomland camo ...back then it was really new .
Now after 40 years it's cool again.

Re: Broadhead selection
All broadheads kill deer Do you enjoy looking on your hands and knees for blood that could effect your broadhead choices.Tiny 1 inch fixed blades are great for testing your blood tracking skills especially at night. The xact cut, superfreaks, and swat A-4 have all been very good performing broadheads...

Re: 2023 SWAT Broadheads
That might have come out wrong
I just meant that all these mechanical broadheads literally look the same nowadays...to most they all are shwackers
I believe it was you norm that posted the picture of the swat in the tree. No need for convincing me on their durability.

Re: 2023 SWAT Broadheads
In my eyes the swat A-4 is pretty much perfect l don't need anything stronger fancier or "morebetter "even a titanium version..I killed about 19 doe and 4 bucks and 2 turkey None were lost none went more than 75 yards. Be honest Shoot that many deer with a fixed blade 3 and see if you can ...

It's a mystery how Noggin lives on this remote place yet obtains these rather "complex " ingredients so readily.

My friend Mario bought a marlin 336 back in 1974 at 15 years old with paper route money ...we put a weaver 3 power scope on it ...he has killed a Pennsylvania buck basically every year and about 7 bear with it since that time of its purchase and he's in his 60's now. Number one it was the bargain of...

Re: Off topic musky fishing
Lol..Grouse that's funny l fish for pike all the time with big lures...but my biggest pike 21 pounds was actually caught just as you...on a 1/8 ounce berkley gulp minnow.
Same story I had it hooked just on the upper lip and landed it on shore without a net.

Re: OT: Vertical toys?
Like Mark l had spent thousands of dollars on "wood" stickbows l had a silvertip,Robertson, wapiti, bear takedown, many many bows only to figure out that a regular store bought martin savanna was the best fit for me lol. After 3 shots you will know if a stickbow is good for you if you don't l...

Re: Off topic musky fishing
One of the more successful anglers at the lake has a lot of musky experience but is baffled why the normal musky lures don't seem to work. His most significant lure has been a savage gear 2 ounce eel. Trolling the 20 to 30 foot depths in mid summer. I assume the gin clear water and lack of weed grow...
