Re: Grizzly shooting some hot speeds!
I have the cheek piece and it does help. I also got the Nikon Bolt scope. It's a nice scope but o still have the Dead Zone scope that came with the bow and I like it as well. I read guys buying leupold and Ziess scopes for maybe max a 50 yard shot on game. For what advantage? I have leupold scopes o...

I have the chrono set up about 4- 5 ft. from my bench. I also have shade covers over the chrono. It is bright and sunny today though.

Re: Grizzly shooting some hot speeds!
Apologize it's taken me a while to get back here. Been off the grid for awhile. The unusually high speeds I chronographed and posted with my Grizzly are incorrect. I'm using the Shooting Chrony f-1. Apparently I did not have the chrony op completely flat so the distance between the 2 eyes was shorte...

Re: HELP!!! Why cant i keep a scope on my axiom??
Oh yea, the scope rings supplied by Excal are pretty cheap China made ones. As stated by another member, try different rings. I used lock tite on my screws which helps. The large screws on my excal rings came loose after 20 or so shots. That's when I used lock tite. Been ok for now. Going to by good...

Re: HELP!!! Why cant i keep a scope on my axiom??
Sounds like a puzzle. Seems you've tried it all. Try shooting your bow without a scope sort of iron sites. I had the scope on my Grizzly break so I shot using the visual site of the tip of bolt for windage and sited down the weaver style scope rail on the bow for elevation. Started at 10 yards becau...

Re: Grizzly shooting some hot speeds!
I'll do some more shooting tomorrow and check again. I'll check the shaft weights on my grain scale when I get home. I'm up northern Az for the summer. But be going to the Valley of heat, Phoenix for a couple of dsys. I got the shaft weights, inserts, fletching, and knock weights from mfg to compile...
