Re: Custom Crossbow - too much free time

Just when ya think that you have seen it all. Keep posting pics. Cool, Very Cool. :D Thanks, I plan to update progress with pics. Everything is just getting roughed out right now. I still have to fabricate the handguard, cheek rest, trigger, quiver, & sling mount. Then it all goes out for anodi...

Re: Custom Crossbow - too much free time

Also of interest, I picked up an Acudraw on the cheap as someone had tried to remove it with what looked like a vice, hammer & screwdriver. I thought it would be a good start since I was discarding a lot of the parts anyway. However, with all the time I have repairing it and acquiring parts, I s...

Re: Custom Crossbow - too much free time

The stock is a layer of 3/8" 7075 aluminum & Ipe. The barrel is D2 tool steel, that I have some beveling work left to do before I send it out for hardening. The trigger is a bull pup design with a two stage mechanism that is housed in the grip. http://i1382.photobucket.com/albums/ah251/Sawy...

Custom Matrix

Never one to leave well enough alone, I decided that a custom Matrix was going to be the set up for me. I have been working on it for a few weeks here and there. Still a lot to do, but it is starting to look like something.

Re: Has anyone broken a 355 limb?

I, as well as many others, really like the Excalibur line for many reasons. Whine all you want, but you'll not find a better company to deal with. So what if you have a problem. Call them up they'll fix it. Why cry on a public forum when you know the company will take care of you. I'd be saying I h...

Re: Has anyone broken a 355 limb?

The limbs are already in the mail for warranty. I just wanted to know the status on the 355, I'm thinking about changing models.
I know the warranty is excellent, that is not what this is about.

Has anyone broken a 355 limb?

I ask because I just discovered a significant crack on my 380 limb.
I want a bow I don't have to worry about. I know it was just a bad batch... but I don't 100% buy it.
Why, because they completely redesigned the most problematic product.

So, are there any limb issues with the 355?

Thanks.

I can't find any info on how to use. The folks at Dr Stirrup need a video.

Recess in riser. Why?

Why does the arrow tip not sit in the recess machined into the riser? My boltcutters fit in their nicely. It seems it would afford some protection for the arrow when busting through brush.

Dr. Stirrup: How works?

Can anyone explain how the Dr Stirrup stirrup works. Do you cock with 2 feet on it? If using one foot does it need to be centered?

Thanks.

Re: Kodabow Scout or Micro

Joe,

When I held the crossbow world championship in my basement this year Kodabow didn't even place. Instead some old guy in a tartan dressing gown beat everyone with his Crisbow. They are the best. Excal & Kodabow are still playing catch up.

Sorry you missed it. It was a genital good time.
