Was that 360$ in canadian pesos or USD?

Thanks!

Price check on used Alu Ibex?

Hi everyone! Still looking for a crossbow. It's projected use would be for deer hunting (after the moose rifle's season). Eventually, I might want to go moose hunting with it. So, it needs to be able to do both. I have seen an Ibex for sale. Looks in very good shape (seller mentions it was used for ...

Re: Darn praticing day before season starts and scope breaks

I know it's not the same, but in the event you can't bring your crossbow to the hunt this year, consider going anyways and just watch the wildlife. Last year, we tagged a moose on the first morning...5 days later, I went back yo my stand to watch nature "do it's thing". It was magical. I h...

Re: olive wood set (knife/deer call)

Oh nicely done! Which kit did you use?

If you had a long enough blank, you should of went for an all wood grunter!

Gotta love wood turning!

Post more of your work, there's somebody on this side of the Internet that wants to see more homemade calls!

Re: Free full body harness

Nevermind, a friend of mine pointed out that I could (and probably should) use my climbing harness instead. It should be more confortable and I already own one.

Will leave the chance to someone else to grab one for this year!

Re: Free full body harness

Could sure use one as well! Building your own stands means they don't come with safety harnesses ;-(

I'm in Québec City, Québec. Let me know how shipping would cost.

Being Canadian and loving winter (and yes, I build igloos every once in a while and I've slept in them multiple times!), I would LOVE to one day tag a polar bear.

Re: Mecanical heads opening up upon firing

Do the boltcutters have a good reputation? I hate when things can go wrong, since they always seem to go wrong at the worst possible time (damn you Murphy!). This is why I was eyeing fixed blades as well, long before I read that review. The fix is usually simple though, simply adding an extra o-ring...

Re: Status of Micro 335 in Québec?

For those interested, here is the email I sent (french alert ;-) ) on their comments section: Je recherchais si l'arbalète Excalibur Micro 335 était légale ou non pour le gros gibier au Québec. On m'a rapidement répondu avec une réponse qui confirmait qu'elle ne l'était pas. Sur ce, on m'a très bien...

Re: Status of Micro 335 in Québec?

................ Is there currently a dialog between Excalibur and the MFFP (ministry of fauna / hunting in Québec)? Is there anything the community can do to help? David I believe that Peter said that they are working with the Quebec government. What can you do is put pressure on your elected offi...

Mecanical heads opening up upon firing

Hi gang, for those that can understand french, there is a great article in Aventure Chasse & Pêche (french magazine) about mecanical boltheads. They tested several (I believe they had 15 different heads) with 3 crossbows of different strength (fps). With the most powerful crossbow, all heads ope...
