Re: Flemish String
Paul, I see where you replied to bigrak's question about speed increase with Flemish string is "No". I just watched a video on this website by the owner of Excalibur and he said switching to the Flemish string would result in a 15 fps increase. I really don't know what to believe.

Re: Flemish String
This is why I made the waiting list comment. The first custom string maker's website I went on stated this "Before we get going I would like to tell you that depending on the time of year (ie:hunting season) the waiting time can get quite lengthy. Please do not order a string with the expectati...

Flemish String
I have a Matrix 355 and want to switch from the original string to a Flemish string because the original just keeps stretching and stretching and stretching. I check my brace height frequently and get tired of having to adjust it due to string stretch. I have also read that the Flemish will give a f...

Turkey Hunting With Crossbow
I managed to harvest two deer and a hog with my new Matrix 355 this winter. Now I would like to take a Turkey or two this spring with it. Any suggestions on what broad head I should use? I'm currently shooting 150 gr Boltcutters on Diablo bolts and getting excellent accuracy. Should I just hunt Turk...

Re: Wierd Boltcutter performance
You can't judge a broadheads performance with just one kill, just like it not fair to judge a paticular high power rifle bullet with one kill. IMO you should shoot 10 animals with something before you can honestly judge the performance.

Bolt Trajectory
I never see any discussions about bolt trajectory. Although I have the Tactzone scope on my Matrix 355 and don't have to hold high, I stillwonder what the trajectory of my bolt is. 400 grain total bolt weight traveling 339 fps at first launch, sighted in intially at 20 yards. Where would my bolt be ...

Re: New 405 owner looking for cheapest c2 crank
I got a brand new one on Craigslist for $85. The guy bought it for his Horton and it wouldn't work. I was about to go on to Cabelas and pay $170 for one, took a chance and done a search on Craigslist and there it was, only 20 miles away! I will say this, after owning the C2 crank, I would still pay ...

Re: Which is the best target to use
I use Morralls Yellow Jacket for field points and I can pull them out with two fingers. I use a Rinehart 18-1 for my 3 blade fixed Boltcutters. Although I have to use a screw on T-handel (8-32 thread) to pull the broadhead out of the Rinehart, it 's not that bad. I'm shooting a Matrix 355 at 339 fps...

Re: Back preservation
I have a bad back and a Matrix 355. I've never even tried to cock it with a cocking rope. I found a brand new C2 crank cocking device on Craislist for $85 the day after I bought my new crossbow. I absolutley love the C2. I've even practiced cocking the 355 in my ladder stand with the C2, no problem ...

Re: another newbie question about targets?
Just would like some suggestions on good targets for broadheads? I have a delta mckenzie target that says it's good for both field points and broadheads. It was a lie! My broadheads cut right through it like it was warm butter! Which targets would you recommend? Or can I make a home made one that w...

Hard Case For Matrix 355
I'm wanting a hard case for my Matrix 355. Has anyone bought one of the Plano or other brands and if so, does the Excaliburs fit in them well? I'm not wanting a case that I have to disassemble my crossbow.

I am surprised no one is using the Boltcutters and only one person said they are going to use them this year. Are they a bad broadhead?

Re: I might be stupid about my Tactzone
Just curious about battery life. Do you leave the light on sitting in the stand or wait till deer appears and turn it on?
