Re: Finally blooded my Micro
So, I quit coming on the forum since it got depressing to see dead deer and I couldn't get out in the woods! I was in Virginia for about 3 months and only got to hunt one time, saw nothing. Got back to Michigan a few days ago and immediately missed a doe with muzzle-loader (Scope issue). Tonight I ...

Re: New to forum
Not that I can weigh in here, because I only have a Micro, but how is it cocking a bow with MS? The Micro is "stiff" to cock. Do you use a crank? Does that weigh into your decision? Just trying to think through all the factors, not at all trying to offend.

Re: Where to shoot a turkey?
Thanks everybody. There is a lot of good info here. I was wearing a little blaze orange (wasn't hunting alone), and I think when I turned around to look at them they spotted me. I tried to sit still, but the damage was done. Next time I'll know.

Where to shoot a turkey?
Last night while in the woods in Virginia, I had 3 gobblers come up behind me. Whether I smelled or was too visible I spooked them. This got me thinking, if they had come into range, where would I shoot one? I had a muzzy blade on my quill, and I carry a few rages and a small game tip for 'yotes and...

Re: Arrows for Micro 335
Could you make them yourself? I know customs and stuff might be a pain. But you could buy the shafts and the fletching, send it in 2 different packages, some glue and inserts too. Maybe someone like David from Wyvern creations could send you everything you need to put them together (already pre cut ...

Re: That's why it's called Hunting, not shopping!
X2 on all the above. I love a morning in nature. Refocuses us, you know? Getting a nice deer is good too. Something about sitting in a blind surfing the forum is fun too! As far as camping in the blind, it's in a swamp that my gramps owns, we built a raised platform aND put a tent on it . The deer h...

Re: Ohio
Looks some of you are getting there. This being my first ever hunting season I dont even have a tree to hang stand in. lol. So I will be winging most of this year. Hope to bag a couple just in being out there. :D The only way to GUARANTEE you won't get one is to stay at home. Go out, get down wind,...

That's why it's called Hunting, not shopping!
Last night I camped out in the blind, woke up at 6:50 and watched the sun rise, smelled the crisp fall air, watched the birds sing, the squirrels prepare for winter, and God's creation wake up. Unfortunately there were no deer wanting to die, so I just walked back to the car hungry! https://scontent...
