Re: Micro limb delam
Talk about customer service: 1) I had a RMA # within an hour or two using the online process from excalibur. Limbs arrived at the warrenty location on Monday, the new limbs were shipped out the same day an I had them Wednesday. 2) I had ordered 1 doz goldtips from David Wyvern. I caught in the email...

Re: Micro limb delam
I think you have plenty of time to send it in for replacement. And back for the season. That's what i'd do, but i would sure sand it down and go with it if, the season was tomorrow. Unless those limbs are sweet hot one's..Smile.. not sure of the definition of sweet hot limbs but have learned the ha...

Re: Micro limb delam
Return process already started so going to follow through, but sounds like I might be making a big deal over nothing.... if the sandpaper responses keep coming I'm breaking out the 220 grit for the next splinter.

Re: Micro limb delam
I was back in business within a week! Excalibur takes care of their customers! So don't fret. Good to know. robertyb just recomended breaking it off if small for now, but I'm not sure if 1\2x1\16"+ is small. I'm new, the xbow is new, so if I can get a 2 week turn around this time of year I wil...

Re: Micro limb delam
If it is only a small limb splinter just break it off and shoot the bow. You can always send it in after deer season is over. Limb splinters do not usually hurt shooting at all. I's maybe 1\2" long and maybe 1\16+" at base. right at where the edge bevel quits and the limb has just turned ...

Micro limb delam
So, I have about 60-70 shots fired from my new micro. Had a dry fire around shot 17. Checked the limbs as advised carefully. Also checked before\after each time I took it out to shoot. All seemed well. Was about to install air brakes tonight so I had to destring. The bow arrived pre-strung. This was...

Re: micro accuracy results with different bolt weights
I'll post a head-to-head from the Wyvern and the quills and also chrony. Hee hee already happy tonight shot between 1\2" and 1" 3 shot groups @ 20 yards with 150s on the quills. Coworker with a 10 point laughed today when I told him my goal was 2-3" groups @ 40. Think I am on my way. ...

Re: micro accuracy results with different bolt weights
OK, based on the input I ordered new arrows from Wyvern. On his site there is arrows made up for the micro which made my decision process simpler. South Shore gave me LOTS of options to customize exactly what I want but I am not there yet knowledge-wise to make educated decisions. From Wyvern's: &qu...

micro accuracy results with different bolt weights
Day 2 shooting my micro 335; post # 3: So, kinda knew that knowing myself I would begin chasing accuracy well before I should, but oh well *hit happens. Bought 6 more quills before xbow arrived because knew 4 would leave me short quickly. Want to shoot the 100gr mechanical sold by Excalibur if possi...

Re: micro 335 100gr mech BH+quill no good?
Thanks again guys. Going to shoot as is for a while before any changes. Did order 100gr FPs to match the BHs. Also ordered practice blades as suggested. I am not setup to be a xbow bolt tinker, so I did order some brass washers to place behind the tip that would allow me to add either 5, 10, or15gs ...

Re: micro 335 100gr mech BH+quill no good?
OK. Thanks. I have the four bolts coming with the package. Wanted to buy another 6 quills so all matched which should do me for a while. Thought is maybe take all ten to someone and have them cut them down and add a heavier insert if that would be more appropriate for a 100gr mech BH? Don't think I ...

micro 335 100gr mech BH+quill no good?
New to xbows and the fine tuning of arrows\bolts. Ordered a micro 335. Ordered a pack of innerloc mechanical BHs @ 100grs (same as sold on excalibur's site). Was trying to figure out diameter of the factory quills that come with the package to buy some 100gr field points when I stumbled on info here...
