Re: DrStirrup 4x4Kocker

I had to take about 8 inches off of mine in order to get to the comfort zone on my 380 so there is plenty of length for your bow.

Re: Would you guys w/ micros reccomend them to your best fri

That's a great buy, doubt you'd find them cheaper anywhere, especially with the extra gear. That C2 and Air Brakes alone are a $200 value so essentially you're paying $699 for the bow. In order for this special deal to show up, I had to type "Excalibur 335" into the Cabelas search box.

Re: 405 arrives

Been out of town till late tonight finally got to open the box looks sweet. One thing I noticed is the string is buried in the REDS. Not sure how well they hold up but tomorrow after work I will assemble and get the brace height squared away and see what they look like after the string gets off the...

Re: Matrix 380 & 405.

I don't know about Excalibur but there are several of both being sold everyday on eBay. I watch several auctions just to track prices and they sell everyday.

Re: flat nock F.Y.l.

Cheap is good. I'm primarily doing this so I c an have a way to fletch my bolts using a Bitz or similar type fletching tool. I just took a short piece of 8-32 threaded stock and bonded it to a standard arrow nock so it could be threaded into the insert and function on the fletching tool.

Re: flat nock F.Y.l.

Well, thanks for that info. I should have done a little more research on my own or maybe remembered my compound bow aluminum arrow days when I knew that the Easton aluminum arrow ratings such as 2216 provided the info I needed. The first two numbers indicate the OD of the shaft in 64ths and the seco...

If you're going to go with the HHA set up, you can go with any size objective bell you want, even up to 56mm.

Re: flat nock F.Y.l.

Well, I ordered some Easton 2216 nocks and found them to be .310 diameter which prevents them from fitting into Gold Tip Swifts or BE Executioner shafts. I wasn't about to force them in. I had some Excalibur threaded flat nocks which measured .300 and they slipped in with a slight interference. Anyo...

Re: Matrix 405 another RMA

Nothing worse than buying a new product and then having it fail on you. The warranty is nice but it does not replace time lost.

Second on this approach, put the extra money saved in upgrades to the 380.

Re: Prejudices Against Crossbows

As a resident of the only state in the union that allows zero crossbow hunting, I can share what little I know about the situation here in Oregon. There have been a few attempts to include the crossbow as a legal weapon for disabled hunters but even those have been beaten back by the apparently very...

Re: muzzy 'crossbow' 6 pack

They are the same as the "regular" Muzzy Trocar broad heads. Same design, same blade thickness. Most people agree that this is just a marketing ploy to encourage people to use their broad heads in crossbows.
