Re: Brace height vs speed

In my opinion but new to crossbow so take it for what its worth..Why does speed matter when a hunter with common sense will not shoot Buck over 40 yards and average is 25/30 yards?Maybe I missed something hunting with recurve for 52 years?Myself I want most accurate arrow not if it gets their faste...

Re: Finally answers for the Matrix 350 LE Mossy

I hope Irondude does not get mad for unintentionally high jacking his thread! :D I am a huge fan of the HHA Optimizer. Easy to use as falling off of a slick log! You can use a regular rifle scope (air gun approved), dial in the yardage, use the single crosshair, and shoot. No holdovers. The guys at ...

Re: Finally answers for the Matrix 350 LE Mossy

Check out Big John's "Moms Bow Cases" in the Trading Post.
Very nice and a whole lot of bang for the buck.
If I get a case for mine, This will be it.
Big John is a top shelf arrow maker also. 8)

Re: TT 2 stage with issues/ with UP-DATE

Gene, I am glad that you seem to have everything resolved without losing much money. I went through a learning curve with my TT also. I learned that if I pull the trigger all the way back each shot, all was fine. If I released the trigger as soon as the shot, I would have the same problem. To me tha...

Re: 92 grain brass insert

I have been in this game only a couple of years and very much consider myself a beginner, with a lot to learn. That being said, I listened to Jerry's (South Shore) advice and went with the 92 gr. when I ordered my Spynal Tapps. Paraphrasing him that kinda puts me in the middle of the road as far as ...

I totally agree with Paul about the Danny Miller pliers. I received mine last week. In a single word...."perfect!"
Arrows can be easily removed if all you have is the fletchings sticking out.

I agree with Normus on the Big John arras. If I was in Canada he would be my go to arra guy. Too many great reviews to count.
Good luck on getting it lined out.

Thanks for the report. Looking forward to seeing more, especially with windy conditions. I am interested in how well the SK300s buck the wind.

Re: Tiller problem?

My tiller has not been an issue but: The stock arras that came with my 405 were tack drivers. I Robin Hooded one at 60 yards. I could easily hit the bull at 100 yds. all day long. I bought more Diablos from Amazon and mixed them with my originals and started shooting all over the place. I thought it...

Congrats! Nothing like owning your own crib.
Not to derail your post, but how is your new lease working out?
I have been out of pocket for a while and have some catching up to do.

Thanks, it's good to be back.
I will check out the video.
To me, if it wont dig into my thumb nail, it needs some work.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.
I have stropped them on cardboard with jewlers rouge to no avail. Maybe I should leave them alone.

Re: Final Prep: Sighting In W/Bolts & Broadheads?

Hey Big, dang good post Brother! 8) IT has been a while, huh? As you know, I have been kinda pre occupied. Lot of good replies. When my Spynal Tapps arrive, I plan on using one broadhead from each pack and designating it as my "field tip". Until I learn to sharpen them a LOT bett...
