Re: Sad Day For My Matrix 355
Spend $80 US?Canadian, if your budget allows and get a spare set of blemished limbs for spares. A number of us have done that. A backup xbow doesn't hurt either, if the budget allows. A backup xbow.... Intersesting... I can say its for my wife... She rarely hunts with me... But I can say, "I t...

I call her Scarlett. Sometimes I call her Sexy Beast...
When I pull her trigger I say, "Oooo you Sexy Beast you!"
Is that too weird? I think not...

Re: whats the best glue
LEPAGE SUPER GLUE ULTRA GEL. Its seems to be the same as the Loctite super glue gel with the blue top and the Gorilla Glue with the blue top. Basically its Cyanoacrylate but in a gel form. It doesn't set up as quickly as the liquid stuff but its still quick. Maybe 5 seconds instead of 1 second. Ive ...

Hunter Orange, camo or not...
I know that during bow only season we don't really need to wear orange or a lot of it anyway. That said, I choose to. I also choose not to wear camo. I have a good pair of waterproof coveralls and layered uppers with a good oiled canvas coat. Keeps me warm and dry. Over that is the blaze orange with...

Re: Make your own bolts...
Wow! One day and I get all this... Thanks guys! I kind of figured it wouldn't be a money saver. Thats not a problem. For me its satisfying when you can make your own little contribution to a good dear hunt. Excalibur made the bow and I make the arrows, As my signature states in a bit of a biblical s...

Make your own bolts...
Ive been thinking... Yes, the wife gets worried when that happens. Anyhow, I've been thinking about making my own bolts. I see that you can buy some of the materials already. Inserts, tips and so on. The shafts are what I'm really looking for. Ive tried finding them on line but I'm at a loss or wher...

Crossbow bolt repair
hey all. New to bow hunting but am looking forward to it. Picked up a Micro 335 and really enjoyed a day target practicing. One issue though was with the field tip and front end insert. They came out and are now deeply imbedded in the target. Picked up some new tips and inserts. What glue should I u...
