Re: Shot a Doe Sunday evening at 20yds!
I sure would hate to be a Broadhead and get blamed for everything...LOL One of the first guys to shoot a crossbow in our group has had many strange incidents of arrows exiting deer in strange locations such as hit behind the shoulder and exit the hams, and hit behind the shoulder and exit the briske...

Re: String twists
It doesn't kink while on the bow, but it sure wants to kink up if I take it off to twist it up some more. But with a little messaging I can get it all to lay nice when I let the limbs back down

String twists
How many twists is too many. I have 2 strings from my gen 1 riser that I have on my gen 2 riser and I have to twist the heck out of them to get the brace height right.

Re: Claw marks on serving
I'd get that serving fixed pretty soon. If 50 shots did that to it, you may not have many left before it totally gives it up and the claws are on the string.

Re: Ugh just great
Thats a Big Buck Bummer.
Definitely if you own an excal you should have a 2nd set of limbs. They seem to give it up with no real rhyme or reason. They are quick to change.
If you have a second set you can just keep warrantying the failed ones and keep a fresh set on the bow.

Re: Quality Control
I feel for you dude! At least its just the latches on your bow, and not the limbs or the rail. I went through three trigger assemblies one rail, one scope and one set of limbs in my 335, and for some reason blazer vanes now rub the bottom of the rail. I like my excal, but would not feel good recomme...

Re: How many shots per year?
2000 to 3000 over the 4, but if your only get'n about 200 shots on a serving, you either need to polish yer claws, or buy a better string,, 500 shots easy, off much higher draw weight bows. on our micros even after polishing the claws we are not getting much over 100 shots on our servings ....this ...

Re: How many shots per year?
What about limbs? How many shots could you get out of a set of limbs? I finally have most of the bugs worked out of my M335. I'm fixin to start slingin arrows again. I had just decided I would not really shoot it much after all the problems but I just have to shoot its too much fun.

Re: Thoughts on wrapping the stirrup in paracord?+checkingSc
Most of the vibe and sound I believe comes from the stirrup. I never bothered to wrap mine. By the time a deer hers it the arrow is in the dirt on the other side. Check every screw for tightness I've had extremely favorable results with the excal boltcutter BH. Flies with Field points. Kills with th...

How many shots per year?
Do you put on your bow? When I shot vertical bow I could easily cook a set of strings in a year. Maybe 6K to 10K shots per year. When I got my excal I set out to shoot it alot. Stuff started to wear out "quickly" I did have some issues which were addressed well with Peter (Thanks Peter!) I...
