Re: Grizzly Brace Height again
It is fun isn't it?!?! I know that I'm hooked. I think now I'm looking at a 405 for next fall. Chad Straight to the top! I went through a few ups and downs with mine so far. Started off really excited. It was new and shot well and there was so much to read and learn and really a lot of options for ...

Re: OT: Open Carry
I really don't go into my posts intending to make them a joke (or anyone else's for that matter). I just somehow always end up there... hopefully taken in the "poke at a sibling" manner as is always intended.

Re: OT: Open Carry
I think it sucks to live in a country where social issues make decent people carry a gun. I've never wished I carried and I thankful for that. I agree it does suck, and I think things would be better if we all took the Big Lebowski approach to life but that's a pipe dream. Also I always forget that...

OT: Open Carry
As of January 1, 2016 CHL holder's in Texas will be allowed to openly carry a handgun provided that it is properly holstered an not taken into an establishment that displays a 30.07 or 51% signage. No additional licensing is required. The current CHL will suffice as proper ID for open carry. I am an...

Re: Is It Ever Going To Get COLD ?
You boys are funny... welcome to my world. Our deer are so lean they could pass for olympic sprinters. Only way to see your breath in the air around here is by crankin on a marley. Who do you think they sell all those overpriced coolers to Out with the Keystone, in with the backstrap!

Looks about 50/50... the price isn't bad I think about $16 for a set with both so I will probably give them a shot. I hear that little voice of reason whispering "you get what you pay for" though Still have a tag or two to fill... then it's on to the quackers.

Re: o\t ccw who does it an what do you carry
Yup... carry all the time when i leave the house. Ruger SR9C or Ruger LC9S Pro and spare mag. The SR9C is one of the finest shooting handguns i have shot. Excellent trigger, accurate, and easy to hit with. Lot's of capacity. I picked up an LC9, you know the original series that had the toy cap gun ...

S&W SD9VE... don't leave home with out it. I can't believe how many people keep one in the pipe though. The stories that you hear of the small child pulling the ready to fire gun out of moms purse at Wal-Mart or something like that drive me crazy. Teach the kids, be responsible with your weapon,...

Butt-Out tool and gut hook
(edit:) Sorry for the constantly obscure subject lines... I'm trying to get better at forum posts. My brother-in-law produced a couple of tools from his pack on our recent hunting trip that I had seen before but thought were a little bit on the gimmicky side, and I had to eat my words. He used a But...

Texas Buck
Took this old guy yesterday evening. He got about 10 yards and was closing when I shot. Up close and personal. I hit him a bit high because I didn't think about how close he was. Lesson learned.

Congratz FA and to your boy also! That's a nice buck and a fun time. Gotta love Texas, 30 degrees at night, 75 degrees during the day.

The seal is broken
Wish this story was more... dramatic/cool/exciting... I got off work and went and picked up my two little ones. Momma had called to let me know she was working a little late, and the kids passed out in the car on the way home so I went in and grabbed the Grizzly. Not to quote Hank Williams Jr. but.....
