Re: 2-Person Treestand Back Rest Question

Your idea sounds like it would be a good one. Cheap, effective, and removable so when you take the stand down it doesn't have the added weight (like if you screwed the plywood in). I will tell you that I made a seat cover for a 2 man stand out of plywood and I put some high density foam on it and co...

Re: Hunting in tight quarters

Not to start a big stink fest but....why would you hunt an area that is so small you may not properly recover your game ? Just to clarify... for me at least, the small area I have does not make it impossible to recover game beyond the fence boundry. I was just trying to get a feel for a typical sce...

Hunting in tight quarters

Seems to be a fair amount of folks here that hunt small tracts (<10 acres lets say) or in urban/semi-urban areas. I have a couple of questions for you all that have experience with this sort of thing. Let me be clear that I'm not looking for or expecting guarantees, just want your thoughts. My poten...

Re: Prejudices Against Crossbows

you can't eat antlers... and I would imagine that Chevrolet takes more "wild" game each year than any hunting implement so who cares how you get to the end game. If you let other idiots ruin your day, they win. My 2 cents.

Re: Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar...

I just ordered a quart to try. I also want to see if it helps with my digestive system. Got mine this morning and tried a Tbsp straight. Not too bad! Might be good with a little olive oil & drizzled over a Subway sandwich.... Spicy Italian on Italian herbs & cheese bread - jalapenos - black...

Re: Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar...

I never heard of this before, but with 2 little kids and flu season upon us I figured what the heck. I picked up a bottle at the store and figured I'd give it a try. So about 7 last night I took out a shot glass and poured me a hooter and dang that stuff is potent. Had another one this morning... wi...

I bet the stuff off the shelf at the local grocery store has been there longer and gotten warmer. If she doesn't want to eat your free range organic stuff, just stop off and get her a pork chop and let her roll those dice :D

Trailcam bucks & Z-Rig

The boys are still getting along pretty good down here. It's been near 100 degrees during the day still and even with the new moon the animals are moving at night almost exclusively. I thought this one was a good one, might be a shooter in here one day. http://i1213.photobucket.com/albums/cc461/jp55...

Thanks for the info all, I have the iphone 5 so I'm glad to know that there is something out there that will work.

Retrieving SD card images to iphone?

The trailcam thread reminded me... does anyone have/use/know of an SD card reader that will hook to an iphone. I have a couple of cams that take SD cards and don't really have anything that reads them anymore. Used an old camera last year that has since broken down. Sure would be nice to be able to ...

Re: Game Cameras

My brother bought me a Primos Truthcam 35 Ultra on sale somewhere as a gift last year. I took it out and put it on a tree that looks at my front driveway and garage door to see how it worked, check for settings and whatnot. Long story short I caught the same brother who gave me the camera sneaking i...

Re: Does it really make sense?

Boys don't grow up, our toys just get more expensive. I really started out on the forums just looking around for info, and reading about the do's and don'ts and then it happened, the carrots started appearing all around. Flemish twist strings, BEE's/Slayers/aluminum XXXX, broadheads from every corne...

I doubt I grab one any time soon but man they look awesome. Pack it in and set it up and hunt. I think my favorite thought is being able t...
