Re: Excalibur TwinStrike Crossbow

I think you are reading too much into it. The beauty of hunting is that it means something completely different to each and every hunter . Or anti-hunter for that matter as well. For anyone to suggest it goes against everything that archery hunting stands for is simply incorrect . It may go against...

Re: Excalibur TwinStrike Crossbow

I want to see a video of someone shooting a 450 grain arrow top and 350 bottom. I would guess at about 36 yards they hit each other. On a personal note. Archery hunting is all about the challenge of getting close to a target to make that one shot count. I think this goes against everything that arc...

Re: Need help for daughter.

If she has no experience with guns, or even minimal, I would never start someone off with a lever action rifle. I have had some scary experiences with novice hunters uncocking a lever action rifle with gloves on and the hammer slipping off their thumb. Actually had to replace a tire on a trailer one...

Re: The little blasturds are out in full force

I almost always use Permethrin on my lower pant leg and DEET on my shocks. Last yr I sprayed the fence line with Permethrin and used tick tubes. This year I am going to use even more tick tubes and maybe Picaridin daily on my 4 dogs. Even with the DEET and Permethrin, I still find them and it is th...

Re: O/T Shotgun Turkey Hunters

Late to the party, as usual, but I'll throw my 2 cents in. I use a Mossberg 835 Ultimag. 3.5" #6 I now always hunt national forests, so the game is a bit different than farm field edges and no tents or decoys anymore. Hunting vest, a roll of camo burlap, box and a slate and my 835 is all I need...

I like the stirrup. I like the fact that the bow can stand on its nose without falling down.

And of course I love the bumpers and limb silencers too

And I echo Anthony's comment about Vixenmaster's strings.
I also like how you can easily cock your bow when sitting in a stand.

Re: Any Muskie hunters here?

The plus when musky fishing is the other big girls that come along.

She was only 36", but son in law was along and until that point, the biggest fish he had seen was 17" long.

This would be ideal in a 1-5 crossbow scope

Re: Tact-100 Opinions

Wish they made a scope with a clean reticle. Three cross hairs max. For speeds from 285 to 350.

All these new scopes are designed for 400fps scopes and shooting at 100 yrds.

It's an expensive hobby, habit, whatever you want to name it.

And I love it!

Re: Dr stirrup- stirrup

It makes it very easy to cock your bow while sitting. It also takes some stress off my lower back. I had a C2 crank, but it was bulky, occasionally awkward when shooting and the clicking is loud.

I think if you shoot a micro, getting a Dr Stirrup is the way to go, IMHO.

Re: Silent Raffle for UPSMAN! Win a 360 TD!!!!

100 tickets @ 50 each would be my thought. But I usually only 1 ticket on these raffles.

For the chance to win a 360TD and to maximize funds, I don't think that will take too long to sell
