I recall reading here about someone making a longer handle. Better leverage might make control easier.

If it’s the decocking function that is your concern, why not just carry an old arrow with you, and fire it into a target or the ground when you are done shooting?

Re: Deer Bacon/Deer Spam

I can't take credit for the idea, but I've certainly taken advantage of it this past season. While browsing the Internet my son came across a video where hunters were making what they called deer bacon. Basically, they took their favorite deer sausage recipe and made it into square blocks about the...

Re: New TOTA 3 blade broadhead

I switched to mechanicals (X-Acts) a few years ago and I've been mostly glad. They fly well and left short, easily followed blood trails. My only problem with them is they aren't easy to re-use. After shooting one, you have to find replacement parts and then hope you re-assembled the head correctly...

Re: OT \ Battery chainsaws

I've had a Stihl Farm Boss chainsaw for over 20 years, and it still runs about as well as it did when new. A couple of years ago I bought a battery powered pole saw and I really like how you just keep the battery charged and cut away. You do need bar oil (just like gasoline saws) but, other than th...

Re: OT Arkansas Toothpick

Mentioned to my Brother when down south that our company now requires us to carry a back up knife in addition to our every day carry. Keep in mind these are weapons of last resort against dangerous wildlife. Knock on the door today and handed a box from my Brother (made it fast up here). Opened sai...
