NJ 8 Pointer Down with the Bulldog!
Well boys and girls, today was an awesome day! I'll preface with yesterday's report, I hunted all day dark-to-dark and only saw 4 yearlings...not a single mature doe, and not a single buck. Conditions seemed perfect, NW winds, lows in the mid 40s, highs in the low 60s...but the deer weren't moving, ...

Which Spitfire is the best for your Excalibur?
I've had trouble with Rage's opening prematurely, so thinking of giving Spitfires a try. What are you guys using and have you had any issues?

Re: Bulldog 400 owners - what broadhead are you shooting?
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah just trying to get a general idea of what others are experiencing. Just seems strange the same BH on the same make/model/weight/size bolt (but different bolts) has differing POIs. I didn't think the spine indexing would be that significant, but maybe it is. The only pro...

Re: Bulldog 400 owners - what broadhead are you shooting?
FWIW, might be a bolt issue. Starting going through the process of elimination. Weighed 2 different arrows, both within 0.2 grains. One was an existing one I was practicing with, another was a brand new one. Note they are from the same order/batch of arrows. Tried the same FP on both arrows with the...

Re: Bulldog 400 owners - what broadhead are you shooting?
So that's the question...why don't they?
Planing going on that influences it?
What kind of POI changes are you seeing? Anything consistent?

They are 18", updated main post too!
Are all of your BHs same POI as your FPs? Out to what distances have you tested?

Bulldog 400 owners - what broadhead are you shooting?
Just looking to get an idea of what bolt/bh combos the members here have. I'm shooting 18" spine indexed Zombies from SSA with 110 grain brass inserts and noticing I get about 1-1.5" low at 60 yards compared to FPs when shooting 100 grain Slick Trick 1" Standards. Pretty consistent to...

Re: Extended cheek piece for the bulldog 400
It does look nice, but the problem will be with the velcro straps and the odd shapes Bulldog stock. Those straps are sized/length for a full stock shape, so when you put that on a Bulldog and cinch it down, it will pull "too much" and not have any velcro to stick to. https://www.amazon.com...

And Q&A on Vortex's site:
One says yes it will fit, the other says it will not fit "perfectly" but be very snug

Re: Anyone here own a Vortex Crossfire II 3-12x56 Hoghunter?
Right but isn't the 62mm the low end of the stretch and the 66mm the high end of the stretch, hence the variable 62-66mm fit? If it fit 70mm, I'd imagine it would say 62-70mm.
