Re: Stirring the pot...Broadhead opinion
If I had to pick the one broadhead I've shot the most deer with, by far it would be Thunderheads, 85 and 100gr. This was mostly with a compound bow. Jeez, I'm so old I've used Bear razorheads, old orange Wasps, and even Satellites with the paper thin blades, lol. Been mixing it up with the crossbow....

Re: Matrix 380 $849 right now
I found it marked down to $535 not counting my 5% Veterans Discount.... So it was right at $480 out the door, as Oregon has no sales tax. How can you walk away from that when you have $ in your pocket. Note: this bow was not in the bargain Cave but hanging with the other Xbows for ...

Re: Chinese made broadheads
I'm guilty of shooting chinese broadheads. I have used the mechanicals in the past with success but I bounce back and forth between mechanicals and fixed blade. Hit one in the shoulder and lost it with a rage 2 years ago, little penetration, my fault, not the broadheads. Went back to old faithful th...

Have probably watched that video 10 times in the past and still watched it 2 more times now. Some of those bears are just monster size!

Re: Shot to vitals, bolt deflects into the guts!
Or the deer was not actually broadside but angled towards you n the B-head followed its aimed course. I have been fooled many times through the yrs about the exact way the tick toter actually was when shot or it moved jus abit before the arrow made contact X3 on this answer. It's also more likely t...

Re: Excalibur Micro 335 RAID
Wow cool, that's not bad at all. It seemed like it was shooting at a pretty good speed compared to my 355. Was expecting it to be noticeably slower but its not with the lighter arrows. What a sweet crossbow!

Re: Excalibur Micro 335 RAID
Just got my Raid last week. Absolutely love it. I'm impressed with the whole suppression system, really does quiet it down. More of a thump then a metallic twang. Not that it matters, the deer never minded the twang before, lol. I've been shooting the quills that came with it and performance seems c...

Wow, thanks for the heads up diesel, that is a great price. Been meaning to get one for my 355 for awhile now. I grabbed one.

Re: crossbow arrow hip quiver
Yes. I don't like having the quiver on my crossbow, just gets in the way when I'm in the treestand or walking through brush, arrows get knocked out. Got one of these this past season and it's one of the greatest pieces of equipment I've bought in a long time. It's a pack and a side quiver all in one...

Re: Bulldog 400 Chronograph Results
Kinda, surprised by this whole thread. It's like the whole IBO rating system for compound bows. It's just a reference point for the bows performance. Different variables will affect results. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a Bulldog if I had the funds to do it. Just my 2 cents, I'll step back onto t...
