Re: What arrow weight do you prefer?
I use black eagle zombie slayers with a 150 gr swacker 3 inch cut broad head. Thay weigh about 436 grains. They leave a hole. Not much of a blood trail so far. None of them, probably 5 have gone no more than 20 yards

Assissan extream bolts
I have a matrix 380 shooting black eagle zombie slayer, flat knock with 150gr swacker broadhead. They weigh about 435 g. I have a new assissan extream on the way. 1. Can i use the flat knocks instead of the special knocks that come on the assissan arrows? 2. The assissan extream is rated at 400fps w...

Re: Dry fire
Thanks to all for your responses, would have responded before this but have been fighting the worse I had in years since Sunday.
Going to keep my eye on this but will probably end up just getting new limbs. I a little paranoid about a 260 pound cross bow blowing up!
Thanks again
Dave

Re: Dry fire
Thanks everyone for all the info. I did go hunting this morning for about 5 hours and did not notice the chip getting any bigger.I tried to upload a picture but the board quota had been reached and I don't know any other way to put up my pic. I would still like to put up a photo foe you all to see. ...

Dry fire
Had a dry fire yesterday on my 380 martrix that was caught by the anti dry fire system. Today I noticed a small chip 6/16 long by 1/16 wide on the left limb where it attaches to the bow. 1. could this have been caused by the dry fire, once again the dry fire system worked. 2. Is it still safe to use...

Re: Can't get in the mood to hunt this year
If u just hunt to kill deer it can sometimes just become the same old thing. Cause really, except 4 really old mature bucks, killing deer is not all that hard. I've killed a bunch, yet every time a 60 pound doe starts walking my way i'm worried she will hear my heat beat and run away. Yep i love kil...

Re: String Twist
Thanks to all for the great information. My string did stretch out after about 7-8 shots and is now back on target. I do plan on getting a custom string just have not gotten around to it. This factory string has held up so well that I kinda skipped getting another string. I do need to get a string w...

Re: String Twist
Thanks for the quick response! I've had my 380 for 3 years and have taken a very nice 8-point with it last year and 5 does, 2 so far this year. I'm shooting a factory string that I have had over a year now. Gone through 4 other strings but this one is incredible. lost count of how many shots, probab...

String Twist
Seems every time I add a twist or two on the string of my 380 it changes the POI and I have to adjust my scope. Is this normal or do I just have to shoot it till the string stretches out?
