Re: SHORTAGES....

Was just looking for either Hornady or Speer .308 165 gr. flat base bullets, seems like all the big reloading sites are out of the Hornady Spire Points, the Speer spitzers, and the Speer Grand Slams. I have a bunch of 150 gr that I use in the "06", but I like the 165 for the .308, no panic yet! Coul...

Re: Liberals Approve Dumping Raw Sewage into Fish Bearing Waters

I have stated the same in a slightly different way, "everything that was considered right is now wrong, and everything that was considered wrong is now right", not many of the taboos left anymore! The consequences of "you reap what you sow" seems to be coming true and it doesn't look like it's going...

I will defend your right to protest whatever. As long as you do so without, vandalism, mayhem, looting. brick throwing, over turning vehicles, or causing physical harm to someone else, if you choose to engage in ANY of that type of behavior, then you my friend have crossed the line into anarchy. An...

 I've experienced the shorts changing time on several occasions when they snuck in behind me, usually a different bird than the one I'm working. Good story and congrats!

Re: Wingbone call

I have one I picked up at a flea market, also made one. They aren't that hard to make and definitely sound raspier than other type calls, if you practice with one a little bit you should be able to call turkeys in. Trick to using one is where to place the end at in your lips, you'll learn that.

Re: CHINA...FORM YOUR OWN OPINIONS!

Good read, we may never know though. One thing I have found interesting, looks there is a bio lab in Wuhan, was that why they were way better prepared just in case! ???????? IMO: One thing all of us should learn from this, we were WAY UNPREPARED if a major city became the target of a bio attack, hop...

Re: This sh*t is real!

Understand the concern for the wife AJ, whishing all the best for both you and her. IMO: the panic is due to a NEW named virus, when a bad flu season rears its ugly head, and a lot of people die, it doesn't cause anywhere near the panic because it's flu season and people are accustomed to accepting ...

Re: What Turkey Call For A Beginner?

 He will find out, thank goodness you usually only need one shot! I have a bunch of Winchester Supreme 3 1/2" that I bought dirt cheap when K Mart was getting out of guns and ammo. In my gun the Longbeard XR patterned much better than the Supremes, in your gun it may be the exact opposite, you ...

Re: What Turkey Call For A Beginner?

Now you started a whole new conversation! Different guns like different shells, I found out my 870 super mag likes #5 Winchester long beard XR and a .665 choke. I'm sure you pattern, if you don't make sure you do, but using a .640 and the .665 choke with various other ammo, that combo patterne...

Re: What Turkey Call For A Beginner?

I'm a fan of the box call also, having said that, they all work, just what you are comfortable with. One advantage to a mouth call is no movement, sometime I am calling with a double sided box call (2 different tones) and a mouth call at the same time. I sometime use a wing bone caller if later in t...

Re: TURKEY HUNTING! It’s here New Brunswick

What does wild turkey taste like? I've eaten wild ruffed grouse, pheasant, waterfowl, and spruce grouse of which I'll never do again lol. Is the meat a little tough with just a hint of wild taste, similar to comparing grouse to domestic chicken? Wayne From my experience, a mature turkey will have T...

Their eyesight is at least as good as a deer, they see almost everything as already stated! If calling a Tom he knows EXACTLY where you are, sometime they come running in, sometime they come sneaking in, and sometime they wont come in at all!
Hope you draw a tag, you will have fun hunting them.

Re: A Little Piece of History

That's great to repurpose something that will preserve a bit of history. Would be nice to get a small engraved brass plate put on it to signify its origin.
