Re: OT: WTF??
Same here, I've seen them also and it looks like a water spout, think of it as a mini tornado that is infused with water, Boos post would attest to that.

Interesting!
Great view also, and another who would like to see a pic. of your Redneck strutting tom.
Enjoy the scope, hopefully it is a game changer for you.

Re: What the heck is wrong with people today?
Unfortunately these incidents are not uncommon. Have also read about guys getting belligerent over fishing spots. I have come to the conclusion that there are many people on the water and in the woods that are borderline mentally ill. [/quote] Brings back old memories! Was casting for Shad from shor...

Re: What the heck is wrong with people today?
I own road frontage property also, usually good for 1 contractors' bag of litter every year. Twice I found full garbage bags dumped on the property, I went through them and found addresses on multiple items which I then turned over to the Township, haven't found any full bags in quite a while, yea, ...

Re: OT - Advice on my new shotgun for deer or ....
I have a 12 ga, Browning A-Bolt shotgun with the 5" rifled choke that will cloverleaf Lightfield slugs @100 yds.. Having said that, if I were looking for a new slug gun I would be looking at the Savage 220 20 ga., a buddy of mine has one and loves everything about it, he has shot deer in Ohio a...

Re: 50 Caliber wads
If you can't find precut wool wads, see if you can find a source for 1/8" dura-felt and make your own using a 1/2" round hole punch.
Do a GOOGLE search > dura felt for muzzleloaders, there is a bunch of info. about it.

Re: Wool pants
I have worn Columbia Gallatin wool pants, Codet, and Johnson, and was satisfied with all of them. If you want what is probably the best of the best take a look at King of the Mountain wool pants. I never had the Filson wool pants, but do have other Filson products, doubt if you will go wrong with th...

Re: How do you keep your feet warm?
Baffin Titan and Muck artic pro may do the trick, if you don't do a lot of walking the black mickey mouse boots or the white bunny boots should keep your feet warm. The white ones are warmer than the black ones, but both are getting harder and harder to find.

Definitely a nice looking buck, congratulations on "catching" one!
Just trying to be PC after seeing more and more articles about others who "caught" their deer, elk, etc.!

Re: Scope
OK, I'm old and suffering from CRS! I found another Tact Zone scope that I forgot I had, so apparently the second 380 was scoped when I bought it :eusa-doh:, the other Tact Zone scope doesn't have anywhere near the parallax that's evident in the one I posted about, SO, looks like I'll just mou...

Re: Scope
I did upgrade to a Hawke scope on my primary Matrix 380, and then mounted the Tact Zone it came with on a backup Matrix 380 that I bought used without a scope. Guess I need to live with the "good but not great" if I want to hunt with it or put a better scope for it. I was surprised at how ...
