Re: The new crank

I recently contacted Excaliber regarding the new charger crank and it's adaptability for a Matrix 355. Service stated it can be mounted and they are designing a template that will guide where to put the necessary holes for the Matrix series.

Re: Matrix String

Another option is to contact Wyvern Creations. Dave has Matrix strings made by JBK. The JBK strings are what I use on my Matrix. Have priven to be very good quality.

Re: Mechanical Broadhead Results for the 2016 Season

I tried mechanicals this past season for the first time ever. Primarily to evaluate results as you stated. I used the Wasp 100 Grain JAK-X, 1 3/4 inch cut with double bands as recommended by Wasp. I harvested 4 deer; 3 were double lung and one a "full" frontal. The double lung were from 25...

Fixed Blade vs Mechanical Broad Heads

Naturally this is a topic that usually creates a heated discussion. Not my intent! There are many quality heads available. The best one is the one you have confidence in. This article is not based on opinion or perception but actual data. I personally found it very informative. https://www.qdma.com/...

Re: Fixed Broadhead Results for 2016 Season?

Just looked at the Wasp Drone. Meh. It looks about like any other 3 blade fixed head. I like that is has a solid steel ferrule though. But my experience has been that 4 blade heads that look similar to the Drone fly better than 3 bladed ones. An exception would be the Ramcat I shoot now. It is 3 bl...

Re: matrix 355--what wt. bh?

With my 355 I'm shooting 18" BEEs with 110 grain inserts luminoc and 100 grain Wasp Jak X broad heads. FOC is 15%, arrow weight is 418 grains. Incredible accuracy and penetration.

Re: asking for rage crossbow head advice pls

I'm not a fan of rage at all. There are far better heads on the market. Many of the forum folks use the NAP Spitfire with success. I am now using Wasp Jak-X broad heads and have experienced no problems shooting my Matrix 355. Double banded as recommended by Wasp for crossbows. They open on impact, g...

Re: WASP drones

I have tested the 100 grain Wasp Drone extensively this past year. I shoot a Matrix 355, 18" BEE, 110 grain insert, 2" blazers and luminoc. The drone matches my field points exactly; poi and grouping. 1 inch or better at 40 yards. I have never had a fixed blade perform like this. I have no...

Re: Broadheads made Where?

I like to support Canadian and American companies when I can.I'm using WASP bh's claimed to be made in Merica. You're safe......Wasp is made 100% in the USA. The manufacturing facility is about 1 hour from my residence in Connecticut. They have been in this location since inception in 1971. Great p...

Re: Two down in four trips

Well done. What were the shots like? Broadside, quartering, elevated, ground blind, right in the boiler room, a little forward into the shoulder? I ask because I'm using 150 grain fixed blades on my stock Diablos now, but I shoot 100 grain tips on my Gold Tip shafts and I haven't selected which hea...

Two down in four trips

The 2016 Connecticut season is off with a bang or should I say twang. Two adult does using a new broad head; the Wasp Jak-X crossbow mechanical. First experience with a mechanical and not disappointed. Neither went over 60 yards. My set up is the Matrix 355, 18" BE executioner arrows (Wyvern Cr...

Re: Wasp vs muzzy

I like the Wasp Drone over the Muzzy. Shoot them to see how they fly. Thought you might like that Drone. Best fixed broad head I've tried. Having said that I am trying the Wasp Jak-X mechanical. Simply trying to get a bigger cut. So far so good; harvested a very large doe Sunday evening. Double lun...

Re: Wasp vs muzzy

I've used several broad heads over the years. The wasp drone is new, 2015. I shoot a Matrix 355; tried the drone this summer. The 100 grain drone shoots to the same/exact poi as my field points and groups equal or better out to 50 yards. I have never had a broad head that can do that. Wasp heads are...

Re: mechanical BH accuracy

I'm using Wasp Jak X (3 blade crossbow version of the Jak Hammer) and the Wasp Knife (2 blade) this year. These shoot exactly the same as field points to 50 yards. They spin perfect. Wasp mechanicals do use neoprene bands and I double band both for insurance shooting the Matrix 355. Incredibly sharp...

I am considering a Harris bipod model HBH. I'm shooting a Matrix 355. Did you have to modify anything to mount it?
