Well what do we have here...

My Dad said we could take this weird buck, uh sort of. We have pictures of it from the last 2 years and now this year. It always has one short spike antler and one 3 or 4 tine antler. The tine side never really gets any bigger. It is a small body deer and is a loner. It doesn't hang with the bachelo...

Re: What insert weight for new length bolts?

Thanks for the 411. Yeah, my math is bad. I will go with the 110 grain inserts and try the 125 grain heads. I have plenty of 100 grainers too that I could try if I need to. Thank you.

What insert weight for new length bolts?

So I am getting new bolts. I am sticking with the .001 Black Eagle Zombie Slayers. We've used 20" all along because we used them in all of our crossbows, but now I am going to go with the 18". I can get 110 grain or 92 grain inserts. The old bolts at 20" had 110 grain inserts and we shot 150 grain b...

Re: Excalibur Kid pulled it off

The main reason is that my Dad said so, and not any button buck just that one. That deer was born late, a single and half white. Something weird was going on in the first place. I have learned that every property is different and you treat it that way. In S. TX the average distance moved by free-ran...

Re: Excalibur Kid pulled it off

Just that little buck. We know all of our deer. Our property is small and we see the deer all year.

Excalibur Kid pulled it off

My brother passed up a bunch of deer. Dad said "no does". There is one half white yearling button buck. That one was okay to take. The Excalibur Kid hit it with our last 20" BEZS with 150 gr Sonic. It just dropped right there on the spot. Nice eating size deer, we were done with the whole thing in 2...

Crossbow not getting any action...

Happy Thanksgiving! My brother and I have been hunting every day since the 22nd but no deer. We both saw does every time out but we want a buck. I had a chance at this deer we call Crazy Horn. We have seen him for 4 years now. He always has one nice antler and one mangled lump on the right side. The...

Looking at these numbers, I am about 5 times younger than most people on here.

Re: just my luck!

I once missed and couldn't figure it out. About a week later I noticed a little slice on the side of the ground blind window. That explained it! Things happen

Re: Does attracting Bucks

We have kind of the same thing going on this year. Our property is small and in the City limits. Every year one of us has got a buck by now and sometimes 2. This year 5 does come every day. One of them is half white. But, not a single buck is on the camera even though we have a scrape and now some d...

Re: Bull Riding and Crossbows

I think your friend can blame more than bull riding for his shoulders. My Dad was a PBR qualifier back when I was little. He did break his chin and get it bolted back together when a bull stepped on him after he came off. Another time he was thrown into the gate head first and it actually broke his ...

That snow is really cool. The only time I've even seen snow even close to that was in Kentucky at the ATA show. Nice season!
