Re: Is modern hunting actually easier?
Hunting is harder, but not because of all the latest gimmicks and toys. At the end of the day, your average deer is still more in tune with their surroundings and smarter in the woods than your average hunter, with all the latest equipment money can buy, will ever be. The reasons it's harder...in my...

Re: Acorn crop?
Barely enough to feed the squirrels in my little piece of Vermont. But then again my woods are full of Bur Oaks, so maybe the rest of the state with the more common whites and reds are doing better. I'm seriously envious of those pictures of a carpet of acorns. Wrong acorns in that pic all they do ...

Twilight Scope
We can go to 1/2 hour after sunset here, and it gets pretty dark in the woods 1/2 hour after sunset. Looking to upgrade the scope that came with the bow to a light gathering scope for those last few minutes of the day. Can anyone recommend one that works well? Not just a good lighted reticle, but go...

Re: A Sad Day For Vermont
I look forward to more responses, regardless of what they are. It's interesting to see the various opinions from all over the country. Were all a product of our environment I guess...I have had times when I had to go else ware to hunt because someone got there first...on my own land. Some days I giv...

A Sad Day For Vermont
Yes it's a sad day in Vermont...at least for some of us. Vermont has always had a strong tradition of hunting and fishing, it's even protected in our state constitution. Private property, unless it's posted and the posting recorded in the local town office, is wide open to hunting. But like a creepi...

Lures & Scents
I'm going to try something a little different for me this year. I would like to try lure / scents at a spot off the trail I'll be watching to coax whatever passes (buck or doe), to stop for a moment to check it out, in hopes of getting a good standing shot at a deer who's attention is focused on som...

Re: Anyone using DB Killer on Micro 335?
I just put them on my bow. The DB website has a video where he demonstrates the proper place to put them. Didn't look like there was much of a science to it, he just continued to flex the limbs and you see where the bend was most pronounced...that's where they go.

Re: Hurricanes...here we go again
Just when I was starting to miss the house I sold at the S.C. coast, this reminds me of one of the reasons I sold it. Good luck georgiaboy and everyone else in the storms path, I hope it turns out to sea and all the evacuations can be called a civil defense drill.

String Stretch and Longevity
Well I'm learning about something you guys have probably discussed a thousand times. I ordered line bumpers and db killer limb silencers and put them on today. I had to put about a dozen twist's in the line to get enough clearance for the bumpers, and an hour later the line was up against the bumper...

Re: Hello Everyone on the Updated Forum site!
Hi Anthony, Good eye, yes we are starting to put serial numbers on our new crossbow models however it has just started so not many out there yet. There are various reasons why we are doing this, one is to maintain a data base so if there are any production issues we can notify customers. Also, it gi...

Re: Air Brakes
My 330 came with a video. One of the topics covered appears to be what happened to you, it said to remove that stuff when the string is removed for any length of time, or the additional pressure when the string is removed will destroy it over time.

A little late on this one...but I bought a McKensie Crossbow Speed Bag from Dicks and it works really well. Bolts only penetrate a few inches and 2 finger removal. Around $40
