Re: Pelican case for my crossbows

I forgot how heavy duty the Pelican cases are. Up in Canada they can double as a toboggan if needed. The 1750 might just be the better option in the long run. Plenty big for a crossbow but can be used for rifles as well. I'd still like to see if anyone has pics of one in a 1700. A co-worker said I s...

Pelican case for my crossbows

I tried doing a search for Pelican cases that would accommodate an Excalibur with the bow part removed from the stock. Sort of like a short double rifle case. Something that would handle airline travel or travel better behind the seat of a pickup truck. Does anyone have a picture of this setup or mo...

Re: Red Light, Blue Light, Green Light

I apologize for asking this dumb question. Does the LED light emit the red or green light directly from the diode or is it just a green or red filter over the lens?

One thing I forgot to ask. Is it safe to use acetone to clean the vanes before super gluing?

Re: Arrow smithing lessons

I just wanted to send a big Thank You to Don and Family for opening up his home and shop to us today for the day. I learned a lot and had a chance to meet a lot of good people from this forum. Don is a great teacher and an all around Gentleman. If you ever need any help you know I'm close by.

Re: Arrow smithing lessons

If I wanted to use brass inserts for the front of my bolts is that something I should source myself before coming? If this is the case what diameter insert should I get?

Re: love the new vixen .why would excal discontinue such a c

I think the EXO series bows just cost too much to produce. The stocks are heavier, the limbs are longer. This adds up to material costs. By redesigning molds, reducing material cost and streamlining production it saves manufacturing costs per unit. That's how they can offer an excellent crossbow and...

Re: Hunting with ghillie suit

I have a coveralls in vintage tree bark pattern from the the early 90s. I get lots of laughs when I wear it at huntcamp. I might use them to try and make my own ghillie from scratch.

Re: love the new vixen .why would excal discontinue such a c

I just picked up my BNIB Vixen earlier this month from a dealer up in Orillia. I wanted a Phoenix but I couldn't pass up the deal I got for it. They were blowing out all the old model Excaliburs. I'm really happy I bought it now. The biggest problem I have right now is hiding it from my lovely Wife....
