Re: Logging in to the Forum Problems

THANKS. Been logged in for a week now and so far, so good. That's happened in the past and then when I try to respond to a post, I get bumped off, lose the post response and have to log in, sometimes several times, and re-respond, sometimes several times, but it looks good so far. (EDIT: when I post...

Re: Naming of A Crossbow?

I have the Dr Stirrup bumpers on all 4 of my bows, I think they have a little more "airbag" effect than the factory bumpers.

Re: Naming of A Crossbow?

This is the only one I ever named, it was just a fun project Blackout 405 I built from assorted parts and it shot great right away, so I named it "The Punisher" (the decal fit well) (AND, oddly enough I just noticed that this is my 405th post!! Weird coincidence when talking about my 405!!) https://...

Re: What kind of deflection numbers are there for BD400, 420,440 bows?

For what it's worth, got this answer from Excal customer service: " We are always making small in line changes to improve our products. We have made some small changes to the matrix limb. The base of the limb that goes into the pocket is slightly thicker and the radius on the edge of the limb is now...

Re: String stops

Not to go in another direction, but I think I have a new set of R.E.D.s up at my cabin I'd be willing to sell for a reasonable price.

I'll be getting up there next week if you want me to check.

Re: 440

Has the riser design changed for the 440 or is it a "standard" Matrix/Bulldog riser?

When cocking by hand (rope), was it harder than a 405 or similar to a 405?

Re: Wisconsin 2019 crossbow change in season.

I did see Paul Smith's article and sent him an email about it (I know him from a few of his past articles I was involved with.) The fact is, that there really is no overwhelming outcry over the use of Crossbows in WI other than by the WBA and their frontman Kaz. The deer kill hasn't changed much, th...

Re: Wisconsin 2019 crossbow change in season.

Thanks for the update! This is being driven by Kaz on the NRB in conjunction with the WBA, and they will NEVER give up. We should ALL be worried until he's off the NRB. (And for those that don't know, Kaz runs a large archery shop in SE WI and sells LOTS of crossbows, including Excals. Earlier this ...

Thanks, Silly me, I couldn't find it until I looked under shooting accessories

I'm way too spoiled, I was buying my TriggerTechs from Cabelas for $115 when they had them.

Well, look at it this way, enjoying the outdoors is always worth it AND your last years worth of hunting activities pretty much would cover half of my LIFETIME "bucket list"!

I'm  with envy!!!
