Re: Excalibur TwinStrike Crossbow

....I stand by my previous statement....this is dead on arrival or as Dan has said....it is a boutique item! .... and OBTW, in The People's Republic of New Jersey, the anti-crossbow people have kept crossbows out of 3D shoots....according to them they are sure shots and just like a rifle......this ...

Re: Great job Wisconsin XBow guys!

HELL YES!! This is the second year in a row that WI hunters/etc voting in the Spring DNR/Conservation Congress Meetings have voted to uphold cross bow hunting rights and seasons staying the same as vertical bows. This is the 3rd or 4th time the anti-crossbow proposals have been put down in WI. I hop...

I couldn't agree more. When I came here as a newbie I was welcomed and helped by many. I've since established lifelong friendships with some very dear members. Paul "Re: Our awesome forum Unread post by SEW » Tue Feb 04, 2020 11:41 am This forum is a model forum." A big X2 on bo...

Re: Large stirrup

I wear a size 13 and when later season wearing an insulated PacBoot it's a BIG boot and I was having a hard time keeping the toe end of my boot in the regular stirrup. I was getting concerned I'd knock out teeth if the toe slipped out when I was cocking the bow. I moved to the bigfoot stirrup and wa...

[/quote] I really like your friends philosophy and my wish is to follow it, especially after having 3 close family members pass away in November. One of my Crossbow Customers from New Zealand whose family owns 20,000 + hunt able Hectares and access to much much more has asked Patti and I to be his g...

Re: on that "how old" stuff...

Guess my point is that at 66 with 2 knee and 2 hip replacements,a 12" surgery scar on my back, along with various other issues, I'm still able to get out and do stuff because I WANT to. And I'm always looking for a new adventure. I love ice fishing and last year made a couple bucket list trips,...

on that "how old" stuff...

So this is a muzzleloader story not a crossbow tale, sorry, just making my personal commentary on getting old. We had 12" of snow Wednesday of the WI gun season on top of a 3-4" base and then 20-22" more the 2nd Sat-Sun. with high winds and drifting. Muzzleloader season started that f...

Re: freezing deer meat

I don't really like freezer paper, if I knew I'd be using within 45-60 days, it would be OK but not my first pick, too many freezer burn experiences and paper taste. My OCD method is to wrap tightly and generously in plastic wrap and then vacuum seal that bag. Sometimes vacuum seal bags lose their s...

Re: First Use of The Hawk Crawler

One of the guys over on CT used a mesh seat to support the head.

Looked like a good set up so I ordered one too.

Re: How old is old

I think I have some hunting socks that are 37! I'm 66, 6' 7", 285 lbs, 2 knee replacements, 2 hip replacements and a 12" surgery scar on my back. I'm still out there pounding it, dragging my own deer, and a few other peoples, and keeping up with or outdoing others. WHY? Because I choose to...

Whats a used Matrix riser worth?

I was just reminded that I have an extra Matrix riser (which I may keep with a set of limbs on it for a quick change out if needed).

Just curious, what's a used Matrix riser worth??

Re: Small hand held GPS

I have a brand new eTrex 10 by Garmin. I ordered two accidentally, long story there but I like the one I do have. If you want to do some research & see if this unit will work for you, I'll sell it to you for a very reasonable price. I'm not extending this offer to anyone else so please don't PM...

Small hand held GPS

I'm in the market for a small, hand held GPS. I'm not well versed on them, but hear Garmin is probably the field leader. I don't need one with all sorts of options, basic get me there, get me back, leave waypoints and trails, accept mapping/hunting application chip and decent on batteries. (anything...
