Re: My matrix 405 lost her virginity tonight.

I can't post pics from my phone and I don't have a home computer so I'll have to wait until I go on break and use my office computer.

Re: Splinters

My 405 did the same thing but only one splinter. It only took 5 days to get my new limbs. The next set had some cosmetic issues and they did not miss a beat. They sent another set of limbs to me with in 4 days while I was able to keep and shoot that set of limbs.

My matrix 405 lost her virginity tonight.

This was my second night in my stand and it was a warm one. But at 5:10 pm a seven point came in followed by an nicer 8 point. He gave gave me a perfect broadside shot at under 15 yards. I put my scope just behind the shoulder about half way down and pulled the trigger. That Diablo bolt with a 150 g...

Re: Finally getting some rain in the northeast

That's impressive but I wish the rain would stop! October 1st is our opener for now season and it looks like it's going to be a wash out until the 3rd.

Re: all-blade broadhead

I just watched their demo video and I wasn't all that impressed. It did put a good hole in the buck but only the one side. Then no blood for 50-60 yards. A blow through would be better in my opinion. I just don't know if that broad head will go through and out.

Everything I have is Excalibur and what they recommend. From the case to the bolt cutters.

Re: I should have listened!

Thanks for the advice guys . I'll try it all. But no I have not used different vanes for the cock vane yet. As far as making my own bolts, I have a lot more to learn. As far as my cigar, it's just a matter of priorities. Can't let that get wet! To the last responder. No I have not used custom bolts....

I should have listened!

Back in April I was looking at getting bolts for my new 405. Since I'm new to shooting a crossbow I got advice from a couple experienced guys that gave me a guy to call and special order bolts, but to stay away from Diablo bolts. So I read up and honestly didn't understand a lot about setting up my ...

This is the bottom of my left limb. Is that a crack? Or is it impossible to tell from a photo?

Re: Bountiful Year

I was just running my dogs yesterday in southeast Michigan and noticed the apple trees are bare and the oaks have very few acorns. Which means the guys using bait will do well after the crops are down but if it's going to be the winter they are calling for the critters are in for a hard winter.
