Re: What do you guys climb with
I have a steel Walmart $99 special with a seat upgrade and side straps added. Weighs about 30 lbs or maybe 100 lbs depends on the day... Usually walk it in around 3/4 mile before the season and lock it on somewhere near where I expect to hunt. Most of the time it doesn't get used and I sit on ...

Re: How About A Fresh Start???
Great table, thanks! Pretty eye opening and gives a clear picture of what can happen. I am always amazed when we put a camera at the target and record some shots. Some say wow it gets there fast and some see the same recording and say they're surprised how long it takes...

Re: A Sad Day For Vermont
As a native 5the generation Vermonter I guess don't see this as a sad thing at all. It is showing that hunters are being respected by the state and efforts are being made to try to accommodate us in a changing world. I would never trespass on private land without permission and expect the same of ev...

Yup, asked myself the same question. My first dry fire in 4 years. Dumb, dumb, dumb

Re: Please tell me about your Micro 355"s
Hi, Best wishes for your health challenge, you have the right attitude! I got a 355 Micro a few months ago after wanting one for a couple years and 2 false starts. The new Suppressors I looked at (with cash in my pocket) had very rough rails and I saw wear after just a handful of shots in the shop s...

Micro 355 scope base vs dryfire..should I move the base back
Well I finally did it after only 2 months with the bow. I loaded my arrow up to the ADF and shot it. The arrow made it about 15 feet with no drama. It had a good dent in the aluminum from the ADF but string and serving were fine. I read about the shifting scope base from dry fire, so moved in to 25 ...

Re: TactZone - Faulty Switch
Lock ring is the threaded ring with 2 slots on it's top edge. It's just like the thread part of the scope caps but without the top so it screws down the inside of the threads to hold the circuit board in place. I took a small screwdriver and pushed it around the edge but found out later that Hawke i...

Re: Has Anybody Done This
Not something that I would do. More concerned about rodents than thieves in my woods. And you never know if something will come up to prevent you from getting back for a day or 2 despite your best laid plans.

Re: Friend of mine bought a ravin crossbow
I bought a Ravin earlier this summer. It was a nice bow and shot pretty well, OK very well and had a great trigger. Form wise it is a hard bow to beat but it was very loud. I didn't need or like the crank only feature and all the complexity put me off but there was a considerable investment so I wan...

Re: Stringer
I made mine out of 1700 lb test 4 mm rope from a Marine hardware store. It is Dynema and Kevlar and was less than $1/ft. Watched a YouTube video on Excalibur stringing aides and made it in 5 mins with 5 knots. I bought 10 feet and had plenty left to restring my cocking aid and still have enough for ...

Re: TactZone - Faulty Switch
You can try tapping lightly with your finger on the circuit board with the batteries out. If there is any little 'tick' suggesting movement then the lock ring needs to be tightened. I had a similar problem on a Hawke XB30 and the customer service talked me through it. They would have fixed it in sho...

Re: Shoot Stick
I have a Stoney Point bipod that I use when I am sitting and cut myself a walking stick with a shallow fork to rest my crossbow or rifle in when I stillhunt. The walking stick is cut so the rest is about eyelevel or a little higher so I can set it on an angle toward me and lean into it. I leave thes...

Re: A little Help please!
I did an extra slot on an aluminum Weaver rail with a table saw and carbide tipped blade. Width was perfect and it came out extremely smooth in about 5 minutes total. Just set your depth where you need it and clamp it in a small vice that you use against the fence. I bet you could screw it to a boar...
