Re: matrix 380 back into use
Thanks. Can anyone advise the most economical but reliable shaft on the market these days? Was looking to replace some diablo/boltcutter combos but the price is now jumped to $35 per complete arrow here. Thats unsupportable, especially ground hunting in rainforest where bolt recovery is prolematic. ...

Re: matrix 380 back into use
Oh and any recommendations for a good crossbow carry case in this size? At one point I tried a cabelas ice rod fishing bag but found the pieces of the crossbow clunked around in it due to lack of padding.

matrix 380 back into use
Fellas I am only an intermittent crossbow guy and forget some of my previous plans by the time I get it out again. Just wondering if someone can refresh my memory on a few things. Is it still possible to order limb factory seconds for a matrix 380 blackout? I have an old email from 'Dawn' regards th...

Re: Top 5 excalibur crossbows
Ive only owned two
1. Exo
2. Matrix 380 blackout
I sold the exo almost 20 years ago. I occasionally see the fella I sold it to and he cheerfully reminds me how good it still shoots, being its better than I could ever get the 380 to shoot.

brace height changing when bow spanned.
Folks is it normal if a matrix 380 string lengthens or rather gets closer to the pads about 1mm per day. Was shooting it on Sunday. The string when I took it out was hard against them. Tightened it to be about 4mm clear. Was still okay after the days shooting( about 20 shots). However noticed in the...

Re: POI shift with matrix 380
So I took a week to get back to the range. I have never drilled down on the bows accuracy, mostly shooting at 20 yards for the hunting I was doing so this is what happens when you start shooting longer ranges :) Appreciate any opinions on below. Apologies for the links this site didn't like the bbco...

Re: POI shift with matrix 380
Just checked trigger box screws, they were tight.
Gents if it is the scope ultimately, can I mount a red dot on a crossbow? They are about the only spares I have laying about, also quite a bit lighter than the tactzone, I never needed its ranged reticles anyway

Re: POI shift with matrix 380
Pardon my lazy terminology , distance from the pads. Also probably poor use of imperial measurements, will measure exactly and report back.

POI shift with matrix 380
Getting over some health issues, thought I would take it for a twang first time in many months. Firstly chronographing went well. Diablo+ 150gn field tips which I assume is 400 grains. 364fps average with F-1 Shooting Chrony. I havent done the math but assume that is close to the right energy levels...

Re: Reisterer stock build
:) I said to Mike I work away but could arrange to be home to meet him if he planned a trip to the region. We got the great barrier reef, a lot of boat cruises, waterfalls and tourist type options in the area. Its our autumn( fall) coming up though the rainforest is evergreen, the main difference is...

Thanks all -and Mike for chiming in! I didnt realise you were a frequenter of the forums. I am just deciding which way to go which will involve some discussions with the fellow club members here this weekend. It will be good to make them jealous. :D One fellow has a wooden stock on an older excalibu...
