Mine is really solid in the tree. I have ratchet straps on the top and the bottom. The thing I do not like is that you have to step out so far from the tree to get into the stand and out of the stand. Auctly the seat is waterproof. I have never got into it after a rain and had the seat wet.

It is a hunters loung tree stand. I have one and after you get into the tree and in it, it is very comfortable. Getting it in the tree is a chore and getting into the stand is in my opinion a real danger. So I always have my safty harness when I use this stand. I get into it using a set of climbing ...

Black powder and black powder substatutes work very well in the savage also. You just have the mess of clean up after shooting.
