Re: Arrow flight factors

Same $$ as ST/Zs only more gooder! Thanks for all that tech info and background Jerry. i know they are good straight shafts because my dial indicator says so, no matter how/where I measure. I even chucked them in the lathe and turned them slowly by hand trying to find a wobble on the indicator dial....

Re: Arrow flight factors

That makes good business sense xcaliber, but the TT shafts are definitely made by Black Eagle and are certainly an entirely different construction than Zombies. Its way more than graphics and labels changes... they are new Black Eagle models.

Seen them yet? I'll take some pics in a bit....

I am as surprised about this as you are vixenmaster. Hope you can keep her out of the parts bins somehow.

Re: limb savers ?...........

Try zippo lighter fluid. It usually takes most sticky glue residue off. Lighter fluid = Naphtha. Some brands include an additive for scent, but most are 100% Naphtha. Buy a gallon at the local hardware if you are a smoker and save mega-$$$! It is a good light solvent but be careful putting it on co...

Re: Arrow flight factors

Zombie Slayer's with a different label folks, period! Maybe so, but not enough experience with them yet to be that bold. The Carbon layer certainly makes them an entirely different construction than STs or Zombies... Each of the four TTs I have measured less than 0.0006" (six ten-thousa...

Re: limb savers ?...........

Got any plastic razor blades lying around? A plastic debt card in your wallet that you can use for a scraper? Some adhesives come right off using hot water and dish soap (or a non-abrasive hand cleaner product like mechanics use) on a soft rag, so try one of those first. If that fails I'd start with...

Re: Arrow flight factors

The Tactical Tapps are new from SSAS, so little is known about them, but they are claimed to be slightly stiffer than Zombies and Spynal Tapps. I have some spine & weight matched (18", Sk-300s, 92gr insert, 296.23 gr total wt.) Tactical Tapps for testing and I'm not finding them to be any s...

Re: Rethinking broadheads

There's a stubborn a$$ born every minute... and being that I'm that way I won't shoot a mechanical at anything, or for any reason. Why not mechanicals..? My answer is: Why? I already have a Swiss Army Knife! It has a gazillion folding blades that will do almost everything for me.... Except it isn't ...

Re: Matrix 350 SE

On the current models I'd like to see threaded studs installed into the riser to provide an anchoring post, then use self-locking nuts (the cheap, reusable, friction/interference plastic insert type) over the clamps to provide the variable adjustment capability that each limb (with slightly differin...

Re: Matrix 350 SE

GrassyKnoll, Since its new this is an opportunity to take both your limbs off the riser to check for pinched and/or cut limbs before getting it all dialed in and having lots of shots on it. Not saying you'll find anything bad there; but if you do, now is the best time to fix it. NOT after a limb pop...

Re: New Guy ?

I am shooting G5 Striker broadheads right now and they seem to fly good. After this season is over I'll be shooting the beefier VPA non-venteds for everything from 5-110 yards. Shafts are either Zombies or Tactical Tapps.

I don't have any coffee in my house... only water, various fruit juices in my pantry, a quart of apple juice and a partial jug of milk in the fridge. I don't drink anything else. I'm sorry, but you seem to be on some sort of irrational vendetta. You've chosen an unwilling victim as your target. Sto...
