Re: Carved Tip Exocet
Yeah its an Exocet 165 not a 200 pounder like the ad says. It was already up there for a 9 day auction that ended on Feb 1st. The Reserve must have been set super high because the winning bidder went $425.00 and the reserve wasnt met unfortunate for that person. And it was not me that didnt win the ...

Re: Flat riser on a Vortex
Your new poundages after the riser swaps sound right if you can get It to work.
Let us know how it goes a vortex with a straight machined riser would be one sweet shooter for sure.

STS on ebay
Just noticed a new STS System on eBay that is ending tomorrow I think the bid Is less than $5.
Looks like Somebody will get a good deal on this.
Disclaimer I am in no way affiliated with this product or the person selling it. Just pointing out a possibility for someone to pick one up cheap.

Re: Exomag Limb Poundage?
Sounds like a cast straight riser. So would that make it a 185 pound model Exomag?
Maybe someone can correct me but I thought the 200 pound models only had the straight machined riser.
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.
Either way congrats on the bow and welcome to the forum.

Re: Dissipator bars on Excalibur Vixen?
Thanks for replies everyone.
I'll definately try it out without the dissipator pads on it and make a judgement call.
How much do a new set of dissipator pads cost anyway?
Thank you

Re: Limb dampener
Off Topic here a little but, I put one of those Sims Insulator Strips on the arrow retainer of my bow and it works great eliminating the noise that comes from it when the bow is shot.
Just another Idea. Actually the picture of them reminded me lol.

Re: Dissipator bars on Excalibur Vixen?
I'll try that Wabi for sure. I'll take a few shots with the pads off and see how it sounds and feels. I'm doubting with the Low poundage, sweet shooting nature of the Vixen that the Dissipator bars will make a huge difference. Might end up Quoting VixChix on this one: "Shoot Naked ( I mean, you...

Re: Bugs Build along

12 stitches thats quite the gash and looks plenty sore.
I hope it heals well this thread is a daily check for me just to see the great work.
Now Bugs you really truly have a one of a kind stock got a little agingcrossbower DNA imbedded in there somewhere.

Re: Dissipator bars on Excalibur Vixen?
I believe they were manufactured for only one year? 2003 maybe? My new hunting partner has claimed it and it will be put to good use hopefully lol. I'll keep the bars whatever I decide to do for just that reason you mentioned One Shot Scott. Just wondering what the other Vixen shooters out there are...

Dissipator bars on Excalibur Vixen?
Does anyone have Dissipator Bars on their Excalibur Vixen? I'm Working on a Vixen Deluxe and new dissipator Pads are needed just wondering if they are worth replacing or Should I just take the dissipator bars right off and shoot without them? The bow has a Straight Machined riser so the new S5 syste...

Re: 185 exomag angled riser swap?
I thought I heard somewhere that mounting a new angled riser on a old style rail requires a little machining work. I Cant say that it does or does not work and I dont know what type of work is even required if any at all or if is just a straight bolt on job. Let us know what you end up doing! Always...

Re: Antler Traps
Would putting some corn underneath a few low hanging branches or right in the middle of a scrubby bush work the same? Something that is pretty thick or will the deer not be able to find the corn in there? Or will the bucks actually push their head into a bush for some corn? Just looking for somethin...
