Re: Great/bad day for the Micro.

Splinters are no big deal. Some here have sanded them off and kept on hunting. I'm sure someone else will chime in that has had experience with the same issue. ;) I won't even bother sanding it if there's concern of limb failure. It's hasn't separated from the rest of the limb. It is raised enough ...

Re: Put a doe down

Congrats! Glad to hear you had a 4x4, half way through the story I was wondering what it would be like to haul a deer out 3 miles on a bike!

Re: Pa. Fall Gobbler

Congratulations! I was hoping to get lucky on a turkey myself in Pa Saturday. I watched a whole flock of birds about a hundred yards away for a half hour. Like usual, they walked the other way...

Great/bad day for the Micro.

I took the day off work to hunt, beings the weather was great. My new Micro 355 put down its first deer around noon! Perfect shot on a doe, she didn't go 40 yards! A few minutes ago, I was sitting in the man cave admiring her, when I noticed a 1" line on the inside of the left limb a few inches...

Re: More Knife Stuff

Never heard of work sharp before last weekend. A guy at camp had one and sharpened a half dozen Knifes in 10 minutes. Everyone agreed it was the sharpest their knifes had ever been. Great tool, I'll be getting one. I believe they make a leather belt for them as well.

Re: Slick Trick GrizzTrick 2 Broadheads

Not sure if all excaliburs have the same quiver or not, but they're a little large for my Micro quiver. The 2 inside arrows are hard to extract, they snag up. I definitely wouldn't want to deal with it if I was trying to reload quickly. You need to pull the arrow up until the broadhead clears the h...

Re: Coyotes got to my 13 pointer before I did.

Amazing buck! Pennsylvania's getting to be the same way. A friend shot a Booner last season at dusk and it was half stripped when he found it in the morning. This was within city limits of Pittsburgh!

Re: Micro 355 limbs

If you want to rid yourself of fears ? I'll offer up your choice of a Decked out Matrix 355 w/ leupold Crossbones scope or 380 Matrix (Camo) with a Hawke XB30 SBR Pro  Gene Wouldn't trade this bow for anything in the market. Just curious if limb failure is even a concern with the 355's....

Micro 355 limbs

So I see plenty of problems with last year's micro 335 limbs breaking, but supposedly they've made the nessesary changes to this years model to fix things. I just got a Micro 355 and I'm loving it. By now I'd think that enough 355's are out in the woods and ranges that limb failure would be showing ...

New micro 355

I've only had this bow 3 days now, I'm falling more in love with it ever time I shoot it. It's almost boringly accurate shooting Wyvern creation custom 355 bolts cut down to 15 3/4. Shooting 1" groups at thirty yards off a bipod consistently. My broadbeads hit the exact same spot as my field po...

Thanks for the reassurance guys, I went ahead and tried it. Wasn't nearly as violent as I had expected. It actually goes down pretty smooth.

Re: Letting bow down?

Sounds good. That last inch or 2 of the draw is no joke! I was a little worried it might be jerky when I pull the trigger. I cock my old mans 175# crossbow with no rope for him all the time. The micro is a whole other ball game!

Letting bow down?

So I must admit, I'm a little nervous about letting down my new Micro 355 with the cocking rope. I've never had a Excalibur before, so I'm not sure what to expect. I know this thing takes some serious strength to cock, I was kind of suprised. I'm not too sure about having all that weight on one arm....
