Re: Ho ho ho
I imagine I will find a sweet spot similar to what I have now. I zeroed at 25 yards gives me a couple inches high at 20 and low at thirty. The hha will help if I need a 40 yard shot, but mostly just for the fun of targets at long range.

Ho ho ho
Woo hoo, I think I just talked Mrs. Santa into getting me an hha optimizer for Christmas. I'm pumped. I like practicing at long ranges, makes the close shots that much easier.

Re: Toxic broadheads
I was pleasantly surprised when I shot one today, my bow is set up to shoot 125gn with plastic nocks. The toxics are 100 grain, but I put in a lumenoc and the total weight was about 6 grains less. Even with the less weight up front and added weight at the nock my first shot was touching shafts with ...

Re: Toxic broadheads
Hi Jesse, I'm a huge fan of the toxics. I think I prefer the 100gr as they're just a little smaller. I've shot a lot of Russian Boars and a mulie buck at forty yards a couple years ago. They are devastating. Paul Thanks Paul. How do they do against bone? The heads I was given are the 100 grain with...

Toxic broadheads
Has anyone used these on deer before? I was lucky enough to be given 3 of them from one of our forum members. I shot one today, at 25 yards it was touching my field point arrow, and the hole it left in my rinehart 18-1 is unbelievable. I just would like to hear real world reviews from people that ha...

Re: All I can say is wow
Would you guys practice with the field tips seeing as they hit very close to where the broadheads hit or would you just practice using the broadheads? I won't be hunting with it until spring turkey, but I enjoy shooting my bow.

Re: All I can say is wow
I'm thrilled with both of them. But, I still plan on trying out the ramcats, I want them to work sooooo bad. They are a badass looking broadhead. I hope they fly as good as these two.

Re: Crossbows and shooting sticks?
I use the primos trigger stick, the 2 legged version of the one you are looking at. Works great when sitting in my blind.

LOL, some joker broke the pvc bow stand at the range. But the base works great for getting the 18-1 off the ground.Hunt it wrote:Nice groups, I love the Strikers. How come your target has plumbing?? Does not look like your a shitty shot

Re: All I can say is wow
No I think the groups with broadheads is finished. I want to make this dozen last a little while. I don't even like shooting fields points at the same place. I will be happy to have both or either of these heads in my bow at the ranges I shot. But I know where I will continue getting my bolts from. ...

All I can say is wow
Well today I had some time on my hands, I'm on vacation this week. And my exodus broadheads from newbie arrived this morning. Yesterday I went to my local archery shop and bought a pack of the g5 strikers to test against the exodus swept blades. So even though it was a little breezy and raining I we...

Re: First archery deer and first euro mount
Yes I did. My neighbor owns a hair salon so she gave me some 40 percent whitener, the stuff they use for making hair blonde. I made it into a paste and painted the whole skull. Then I wrapped it in plastic wrap and left it on top of the fridge overnight.Hunt it wrote:Did you peroxide to whiten?

I don't think I would still have a wife if I tried it in her spam or pots lol. It was bad enough that I had the head in the deep freeze for a few weeks till.i had time to work with it.

I used a knife and boiled it. Then boiled it some more. Then boiled it some more. I just had it on the baking sheet in case there was any whitening agent left on it.
