Canada clears Johnson & Johnson vaccine, first to approve 4 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Nog You really shouldn't have posted this. Our American friends who visit this site might get horribly jealous. If I understood your post, Canada has just become a world leader in the subject of Covid 19...

Re: BC Proposes New Firearms Laws
I understand that one of the components in the bill would require people using a shooting range to produce identification, in order to prohibit anyone convicted of a gang crime from using such facilities. Man, will that ever have an impact! Gang members will be shyt scared to join gun clubs, and the...

Re: OT - Vaccinations
I'm an old geezer so I remember getting the first Salk anti polio vaccine. People lined up for their shots, in long lines. No appointments. It was done quickly and efficiently. No talk about whether or not it was safe. We were just very happy that we might defeat the risk of living inside an the iro...

When athletes and movie stars offer their opinions, people listen. I guess we want to get guidance from people we like, even if they have no special skill or qualification in the subject. To me the biggest question is why he has been given so much attention. If he were an accountant, nobody would ha...

I finally figured it out. The reason why Vegans are Vegans, I mean. The reason is, they like well enough what you showed us, but they're lazy and it's waaay too much work. Great job!!

Re: Anyone use a propane heater to heat the garage?
What you describe confirms (to me, anyway) that it was your thermocoupler that was the whole problem. Keep the old regulator for a spare, and the same thing with your old thermocoupler. It seems capable of working , or you wouldn't have been able to do any restart. I'd bet that if you used one of th...

Re: OT / School me on Air Rifles
I wandered onto Youtube and came across some rat hunting videos. Most were in Britain at dairy farms. They use infra red and other night vision stuff and pond the heck out of rats, mostly with head shots. The rats don't seem to understand that those two legged predators can actually see them. Just t...

Re: Anyone use a propane heater to heat the garage?
If your torpedo heater is the same as what I see when I Google it, you could try the next best thing to tapping directly on the thermocoupler. Try jarring the whole unit on the floor as you try to light it. It's probably something internal sticking in the thermo. Sometimes it doesn't take much and o...

Re: Anyone use a propane heater to heat the garage?
It's usually the thermocouple. If you have some teflon tape (and know how to use it!), you could disconnect the line where it leaves the regulator. Then give the valve a quick open and close, and if you get any propane escape , you know it's the thermocoupler. Just reconnect and test the connection ...

Re: O/T Weather
In winter I generally walk to work. Last week it was -41, and it doesn't matter whether you say Celcius or Farenheit. At that temperature it's hard on machinery. I can put on warm clothes, but my truck can't.

Janesy If the best thing to be said about our Dear Leader is that he has lovely hair, that's a pretty weak endorsement, and doesn't reflect well on the person saying it either. I'm just a smart as-s that likes stirring the pot. I remember about 20 years ago visiting a firearms website and the guys t...

Folks I haven't put any of Nog's recipes to the test. However, my little bit of experience and knowledge of the subject tells me that we have just been treated to an advanced seminar class of this subject. The detailed written instruction with excellent photos is better than recipe books. I'm going ...

You say some harsh things about our leader.
However, almost all the ladies I speak to still think he's got lovely hair, lovely hair.
The Conservative leader has no hair. The NDP leader hides his hair.
Is there an omen here?
