Re: Sloppy Sunday Fun

I share your dislike of playing in slush, in the dark or full daylight. Your toboggan reminds me of an earlier version I had. Light, pulls easy, but fills up nicely with slush . The one I use now looks like a coffin, but the cover stops a guy from loading up with slush. It's ugly, but I like it. Dan...

Re: Bore Sighting

Tom and I had the same idea. As long as the laser toy is close to the same diameter as your arrow, it will point to a spot awfully close to where the arrow should land. My problem with this approach is the darned battery. I used the laser so infrequently that it was ages before I found out that it h...

Re: In Training

"With 13 miles of aisles and 2,300 registered booths we decided on new footwear each and spent the last few weeks on the Stairmaster climber between 25 and 40 minutes a day to prepare ourselves for all the walking." A pessimistic cynic would say that your wife keeps you on one heck of a short leash....

Re: LSU

You guys sure have me scratching my head. Do rolling tides have something to do with deep sea fishing? Or is it some environment thing to do with rising ocean levels? And what's this talk about tigers? Are you talking about big game hunting in Bengal? Is tiger stadium some kind of cat house? Please ...

Re: New Broadheads

I guess I was hoping that people who use mechanicals would be able to offer some insight on the deflection question. Would it be less of a concern with the Excalibur than the Swat X, or, is it a non issue for both?

Re: New Broadheads

I've never used mechanicals, but I admit I sure am getting tempted after seeing pictures of this Excalibur broadhead and also the Swat X broadhead. I like the four blade feature of the Swat X with its 2" cut. The Excalibur is 3 blade also with a 2" cut. The extra blade on the Swat X is an advantage,...

Re: Boofest 2020 attendance poll

Hi5 here, and by golly, this year Boo I'm going to try hard to get to the Boo Festival. A couple of years ago, TheBig1, Munch, IronNoggin and others made commitments of what they would bring to your festival, and it seems they let you down. This year I'll come for sure even if I can't arrange covera...

Re: Morning or afternoon hunts

Afternoon. To heck with what the deer are doing.

I need both eyes open to hunt, and until at least one hour after sunrise, I can only hold one of them open.

Risks To Our Environment And Hunting

After our daughter of fifteen years of age was moved to tears by the speech of Greta Thunberg at the UN the other day, she became angry with our generation “who had been doing nothing for thirty years.” So, we decided to help her prevent what the girl on TV announced of “massive eradication and the ...

Re: Bulldog 440 learning curve

You have to know that Boo won't overdramatize when he speaks. What he describes is just not acceptable. Getting a brand new bow like that is just as bad as buying a new BMW or Mercedes and finding out that it steers horribly as you drive it home. Then you find out that the reason is because the stee...

Re: Montreal Massacre

In all of the talk that has followed the event, one sadly overlooked fact is that the males thought they were being sorted out for a quite different purpose than what happened. They thought THEY were going to be the target. I find it hard to fault them for their paralysis in the face of something as...

Re: Another truly remarkable animal

They probably would ignore it.

They are pretty much impervious to predators while they are clinging to a sheer cliff like that, and it may not be all that much more challenging than what they do naturally. We just wouldn't get to see what they do naturally.

Re: Bow Accident, What Next?

Wait...I saw videos of a Micro being dragged behind an ATV and holding zero. So you are telling me running it over with an ATV caused that much damage? :eusa-naughty: Did you run it over, and back over it multiple times? .................... I had the same thought. I don't have any idea of wh...
