- Topic: Ban this Book? UPDATE

Ok, so I've been lurking the past few weeks without posting but this has drawn me out. Now just because we disagree with the topic of the book, it should be banned? Better yet, it should be vandalised or stolen? Gimme a break. There's lots of books in the library discussing topics that I don't agree...

Truthfully you don't know. Guess you have to trust me. And if you still have doubts, I really don't care. Read through the threads and you'll see where I said people can use them for the desktops, etc. I thought some of you might be interested in seeing pics of a monster buck. I'm not overly concern...

Thanks Isis. The pic looks much better on my monitor than it does online. AOL compresses graphics and they don't look nearly as good online, hence the darkened foreground. An unfortunate circumstance of using AOL as a host ISP. Evidently Photobucket doesn't compress the image at all. If it was just ...

Copyright doesn't have to be stated. Images are copyrighted no matter where they are. Anyone can use them on their desktops, print them out for personal use if so desired, etc. I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm not trying to sound like an idiot or that I'm angry at Isis, but just trying to get a poi...

Can someone contact Isis?
Anyone know how to contact Isis? I see by his post count that he posts rather infrequently. I would like his altered imaged removed asap so if anyone can contact him and advise him to read the reasons as I stated, I would appreciate it. Or, perhaps the moderator can delete/edit his post. As a last r...

While I like the athestics of the altered shot, and no offense, but I'd rather not have an altered shot of mine posted on the 'Net. The reason for this is due to the fact that I get paid to take night sky photos for magazines (not referring to this buck shot), edit other people's images myself and t...

I didn't even notice you left that whole bag of corn! You didn't have to do that! But it'll keep the deer fed for a few days, so thanks. He didn't make an appearance after you left, although the power went out again, but the anterless buck from the morning showed up soon after dark. At least you got...

The money that is paid by magazines isn't all that much. Images on the 'Net are copyrights but there's no reason why someone couldn't lift the images and attempt to do so. I have seen it happen but sooner or later someone recognizes the pic and knows that the person is not the original author. With ...

It was a Ford he boosted!! I would have been sitting here for a while this morning letting the block heater warm things up if he hadn't been here. Somehow the cord for the block heater became unplugged in my workshop yesterday. Dunno how. Almost was a moot point though considering the power was off ...
